I'm a writer and artist with a passion. I love long and sophisticated romances. Je parle francais aussi mais je n'ai pas de clavier en francais alors excusez-moi.
It's hard to describe. I want to help me make my flow sound better? Instead of saying like "He walked," I want to be able to do something like "Long legs strode past one another in a hurried manner..."
I can understand that. Trying to sit down and find the will to write can be hard. Thats something that will come with patience and motivation. Like if you were to sit down to work on one part of a certain story, and have your good friend google give you word suggestions to help you to turn sentences into more than a two liner.
The thing is I know a lot of words. I just never know when to use them lol. I've studied over a thousand words these past three years and they just hide somewhere in my mind
I honestly don't know if anyone will respond to this, but I appreciate it if anyone would. I would like feedback for my stories, because as of now, I become really lost when I write.
I've been reading Predator too, and I think it has potential, and you have a good way with words sometimes, like somewhere you wrote that a room smelled of "dust and melancholy", I liked it! As for suggestion, I don't know if you're familiar with the "Show, don't tell" concept--if not, there's plenty of books and articles online that explain it better than I could; I think your writing could really benefit if you switch from telling to showing where possible, it helps to make the story more engaging for the reader. Good luck, I think you can get go far with your writing if you keep at it!
I understand what you mean by "show don't tell," unfortunately for me, I have a hard time picturing how to write that. I'll make sure to look that up! Thank you! I'm pretty sure what makes stories so good is the unspoken parts.
