Sooo apparently Apple got picky with their rules all of a sudden and Hybridor was removed from being viewable on the Tapas app? Judging by what Tapas told me, it's most likely because of the one little page that showed the bloody torn up Levifin. Just letting folks know this is a thing now and that if you can't seem to find it on the app, that is why.
This might be fixed if I remove that part, which I already am in the process of doing a sorta revamp to the stories prologue. So eventually it might be seen again on the app. But in the future, I have a feeling that the series might get flagged again due to scenes involving death. It's kind of a key part of the story, and I'm not about to change it's core because of this. So from now on, reading on the PC or Tapas website is the only surefire way you can see the series at present. Sucks...but what can you do =(
I'm not surprised. If Apple can't handle seeing a dead animal washed up on the beach with a rather 'not-gore' hole in it, then I can't imagine what other series who do more than that are going through. I just hope the few readers of this series can still find it. I know Tapas is really mobile heavy afterall.
Personally, I don't care for Apple anything, or mobile apps in general: 1) I'm a cheap old miser with a pay-as-you-go plan which leaves you only enough data to do security updates. 2) I want so see my graphics and videos on the "Big Screen" Therefore I watch them on an old TV which serves as my desktop monitor.
Yeah I am aware that I did a goof with that one in submitting the whole thing in one go. I thought the flow of reading it would be better with the whole thing, but I forgot it kept it out of the Fresh portion of Tapas as a result.
Some artist had to wait for a year to be popular, so you're good. :) be patient.
You can re upload your prologue and can send a notification to your subscribers after. The best thing about not being popular yet, is you can messing with your content whatever you want. :D
Haha this is true! So I can just...edit the prologue to have just one page and then slowly 're-submit' them? I'll admit I'm not sure how ot best go about splitting up the prologue (especially in a way that won't annoy what little readers I got). Also seems silly to do now since I already do a twice a week schedule, so it showing up on the Fresh part isn't a problem much anymore.
I'm quickly realizing that I'm not utilizing this sites viewing and pacing capabilities to the best I can. But I don't have time to 'reformat' the comic to be more fitting here. I wish I could, but I just don't have the time, especially since I can't ditch it's current format. If I did, it would ruin the experience for this comic on the OTHER sites it's on that aren't down-scrolling functional.
I'm torn between whether to keep it up and at it,and hope for the best, or just remove it since it's more 'page-based' format doesn't seem to really fit this place...
I made a forum post for feedback. If you can, please leave your feedback and suggestions here: https://forums.tapas.io/t/i-might-take-my-comic-down-from-tapas-need-feedback/22905
Hello new readers of Hybridor! Welcome to my little slice of Tapastic!
First of all, thank you to those few people who've already shown their enjoyment for my new budding series. It means a lot to me and I appreciate every one of you =) I'm still very new to this site, so please feel free to educate me on the tapastic ways.
But enough of the gushy words. You all wanna know what's up with the comic right? Then I shall deliver! Read on for the schedule and my future plans for this series.
First the schedule. As you noticed, I put up the entirety of the Prologue. I did the whole thing mostly because I feel it's enough meat for the story that people will have a grasp to whether they wanna see more or not after reading it. But will the rest of the chapters be like this? Heck no!
In January of 2018 (after my Xmas break is done), Chapter 1 will begin, and it'll be a 2 pages a week upload schedule. Which days are pending still, but twice a week is my goal, and I'm going to do my darnest to stick to it.
I also plan to do some special events, so do keep your eyes peeled here on my 'wall' (I think that's what this portion of my page is called?) for chances to participate (I might use the forums as well for advertising, but we'll see). Rewards usually range from free art, to even getting a character of yours as a BG character in the comic!
So with that all said, once again thank you all for joining me on this wild ride of HYBRIDOR. I hope you all enjoy your stay here, and as Starlight always says...
