For starters I'm using a hair style made by Anomailia, so go check her out, she's great!
It's cool to see how much my art has evolved up to this point. I started seriously drawing back in October of 2020, did the whole of Inktober. Shit was absolutely maddening, but made sure to not miss a day... If people are interested I could post all the stuff I drew during but It's... well a little cringey lol. I have been thinking about taking up commissions but I'm not 100% sold on the idea. I do like the idea of getting some external cash flow going but.. Idk man.. what if I'm not as creative as I think?? I'd hate to add this to my mountain of failures.
For now. I'm just happy with how she turned out.
Luka Bluefang was a character that I made back after life went sideways. She was sort of meant to watch out for Maielk. Then things began to grow and become something more. I absolutely adore Luka, she's adorable, but sometimes her attitude would fool you! She is almost cold and indifferent to those she doesn't really know outside of her people the Seedless. Who knows maybe she's everything I like in a woman haha!
I started writing her Origin after she was already and adult, because her childhood just didn't feel like it was that important to the development of her character, though truth be told maybe it was a little more than I think. Like her eye lashes in her current character sheet, they're pink, but the rest of her hair is blue, and that's because she "dyes" her hair blue regularly with little blue berries that she has a small stock of. She comes from a set of triplets, and in Seedless culture, that's only happened once, but she wanted her own individuality. Her birth name is Iseth, but her chosen name is Luka. Her sisters Isaath and Isith along with the Seedless' deity The Tree of Life always refer to her as Iseth.
In the modern series, When Luka is Ayame, her hair is pink for the majority, but is blue from the middle or so down.

You know, when I started writing, I was in some pretty heavy therapy for what happened when life went sideways, and the first character I wrote was Maielk. My therapist said it was because I wanted someone to relate to, someone I could share my burden with who wasn't as helpless in his situation as I was in mine.
This was one of the first drawings of Maielk I did. I used an outline I found on google, since I was still learning, and am still learning. I commissioned a friend to do a character sheet for Maielk, and that's where I learned to do Maielk's hair and horns, save for the one strand that is just fuck outta nowhere, that's not there in the final design of Maielk.
I think I'll revisit it soon, when I work up the required amount of fucks for it. I seem to be in the negatives of fucks lately though lol.
It's been a crazy trip so far. I took up drawing back in October of 2020, trying to make the series myself, but I ended up finding that the project was just too big for myself, especially if I had to cultivate a whole new skill. Thankfully I met Bahmyth, who is the illustrator of the series, so that alleviates part of the work load. I'm still drawing and stuff too, learning to do it the way Bahmyth does. I still want to be helpful in the series, aside from doing ALL of the writing, planning, and business side. We even have a Publisher already, so that's already figured out. There is so much work I've put into this already...
It's been such a pleasure to watch this series I've been writing for so long, finally take shape, something I can see with my own two eyes. I mean sure, I could always write a novel, but that's not enough for me. I need to SEE it come to life... Move and breath, so to speak.

I ran out of room, I wasn't done yet lol.
Now a little bit about myself, and this wonderful adventure I have decided to take.
I've been writing this series for about 6(six) years now. Since the worst day of my life. In-fact, this series saved my life.
I'll be honest, I never really considered myself much of a writer, just someone who RP'd way too much growing up, I used to throw hours away on Furcadia lol. It's where I actually learned to formulate my thoughts into a story. It's so hard to write what I see in my head though, like when I write, it always an animation that plays in my head. I typically do it at night when I am winding down for bed, I just start sort of playing roles in my head, then I do that several times before I know what I want to write down. Nearly shit meself when I found out that Stephen King does the same thing lol.
I live in the state of Utah, and that's been... well, challenging, since I don't really agree with the majority of religion, just not my cup of tea.
I guess this is me. It's so hard to talk about myself as I don't think I'm anything special, or worth writing home about.
Been wanting to work on a shop dedicated to swag for SE, just to keep funds coming in to keep production going on the series. I'll update about that later.

So uh... first post I guess? My name is Uncle Bourbon, or just Bourbon for short. I wrote and am currently writing the Shattered Eternity series. The series is sectioned out into three parts. Chronologically, it is Origin Series, Pre-series, and Modern Series.
The Origin series covers the characters more in depth and pretty exclusively, however there are parts where it is from someone else's perspective, but that's usually for exposition purposes. The purpose of this is to get my readers more acquainted with the story's characters, and who they are, why they are, and how they all came together. The Origin series has 6(six) different origins, each focusing on an individual character.
Pre-series is pretty much right after, maybe a little bit further after the Origin series. The Pre-series depicts the endeavors the group has to endure and fight through. From near deaths, to forming new relationships. The big picture of this part of the series is a little more vague, as it is their daily struggle against a common enemy. The Pre-Series has around 13-40 planned episodes. This number is tentative as it has not been written to completion yet.
The Modern series is present day for the group. Having to take false identities to remain inconspicuous from their former allies only known as "The Council". This series follows more closely a character known as Maielk. Maielk comes back to the group by sheer coincidence as he hunts beings known as "Whispers of the Elder", remnants of his father's soul, but make no mistake, these whispers are not allies. Maielk has taken it upon himself to hunt these whispers and rub them out of existence. He had no idea they would bring him straight to his old comrades. The Modern series has 40 planned episodes, 26 of which have either been written, or have a summary written for the episode.
I said Chronologically up there as I plan on starting with the Origin series, then going straight into the Modern Series, then to the Pre-series.
