I saw this because subcribers to your comics get notified if you post on your profile page. I am loving Dear Alice and also adore your YouTube videos.
I don't know the statistics but there are many that read comics on desktop or use the forums, so they are the ones that most likely see these profile posts. The app doesn't notify you at all for these. Personally I check once in while because there are some creators that still prefer to make announcements here.
I also think that those who purely read only use the app, which offers no communication options other than support and comments. But honestly people just go through other socials if they want to talk. But if you're a creator, then by default you would use desktop to upload so you would probably go check your inbox.
