Popping in here to say it is going to take me a while to respond to comments and new subscribers. I just got back from Illinois, driving my mom and sister to Oregon for my small wedding on August 10. I will be driving them back on the 14th.
To contextualize, it's a four day drive on way. So I'm unfortunately detained until I'm back and settled in (will be flying back, but all this travel and planning is pretty physically and mentally taxing XD I need to "be here now" for my family and partner :3
Rest assured! I will be responding to EVERY comment. Just will take me a while. I will try to make sure I catch and thank every new subscriber, too!

And we reached two of our stretch goals *O*
I want to personally thank anyone who supported us! I can't wait until it all prints and get mailed. I have read through the one of the drafts of the document, and it looks so frickin' cool! Everyone put their heart into this, and when I took my first read though (we have a few more edits to finish up) I was almost brought to tears, because I'm a big sappy person and just remembering the collaboration and seeing each other's drafts and WIPs...it was really special.
But that's enough about me! Seeing this thing coming together, I'm sure people are going to have a lot of fun!! And if you got a hard copy of the zine, I'm pretty sure you'll be getting the trading cards and the key-chains (.pdf versions get the digital versions of the trading cards, I believe).
Honestly, thank you all from the bottom and top of my heart. Whole heart! How about that? XD I'm so excited. Thank you for sharing this with me, and regardless off if you had a chance to pledge, thanks for at least reading my silly little blogs.

Any Magical Girl Fans Out There?
Dark Horse is part of the Aradia Magical Girl Collective, which is raising funds to print a full color, over 100 page indie magical girl zine! Aradia Beat: TGIF the 1990s includes activities, comics, art, & writings from over 30 independent artists from both within & without the Aradia Collective! That's right: this was a collaborative effort that was extended to artists outside of our collective as a way to help support indie artists (as well as collective members).
We've got tiers as low as $5 for .pdf copies & as high as $45 to get EVERYTHING including all the merch! If you buy within the first 48 hours, you can also take advantage of the Early Bird Special-hard copy zine + some add-ons for $15. That's a pretty darn good deal.
But why am I advertising this? What's this got to do with Dark Horse?
Whelp, I worked on a one-shot full color Dark Horse story, How I Spent My Vacation, which features Kanna & Rin trying taking full advantage of their last summer before the end of the world! There's lots of nods to '90s nostalgia packed into the 7 page short story, & there's a full color in world poster for Dark Horse lightly spoofing the film "Clueless."
Guess what else? Blue Dragon also designed a full color bookmark, front & back, featuring Kanna & Rhina & '90s patterns that are the bomb; as well as several different sizes of an Aradia themed wallpaper *O*
When we reach certain benchmarks, all the contributors will get pay bumps! But it's not just about us: backers also unlock some b*tchn' keychains, patches, & more!
