Hello Everyone!
After close to a year’s hiatus I am happy to announce that Brotherly Lore will be returning to your computer and mobile device screens VERY soon! I outlined my initial reasons for the hiatus in my previous post…but I’ll provide a quick summary to what happened here as well. Without indulging in too much detail, there were a number of reasons I needed to take time away from the strip. The primary reasons being: the need to revel in being a new dad, the need for work-life balance with my (previous) job, writers block, catching up on content creation (so I don’t have to work on the very strip due that week every week), coping with interpersonal life drama on several different fronts and the depression that ultimately stemmed from that…which stifled my motivation to do anything really. Fortunately in the past 9 months I’ve managed to thrive in most of those areas; and the amount of things that are better now outweigh the things that are still bad, putting me in a more capable place to revive Brotherly Lore.
The time off has also given me opportunity to really think about the next steps for the strip, including expanding it’s reach. Brotherly Lore now has it's own site: https://www.brotherlylore.com and can be followed on Twitter: https://twitter.com/BrotherlyLore
That about sums it up for now, I will continue to update you all on Twitter and on this site as we get closer to Brotherly Lore’s return. Will Bran best Wintergreen's? Will Dave overcome Gepetto? All will be revealed soon! Thank you for your patience and as always, stay tuned!

Hey everyone,
I want to say thank you all for your patience, I feel that every time I say ‘this week will be the week’ something else in life inevitably comes up to delay me...it’s actually been 3 months since my last strip which really saddens me. In full transparency, life the last half of the year has been pretty rough and hectic. A number of personal external factors have weighed in which has significantly affected my productivity on my series. To give you some insight on the productivity part, when I first debuted Brotherly Lore I ALWAYS had the next 5-6 episodes created in advance to give me a buffer in case one of ‘life’s emergencies’ happen. It’s gotten to the point now where I’ve burned through that buffer and i’m working weekly to complete the very next episode. With an inflexible job and my current living situation that goal has become near impossible to meet weekly. Yet, the most detrimental thing that has impacted my ability to create new content is that I’ve also come down with a serious case of writers block.
I want to be clear that Brotherly Lore definitely isn’t going away; I now have an iPad Pro, Adobe Sketch/Procreate etc to help me make my comics virtually anywhere on the go when I’m not near my rig. These tools have actually been incredibly helpful and I’ve used the better half of the last 3 months for the purpose of creating enough new content to start getting ahead again. Plus, the real ‘Bran’ (I know, hard to comprehend he’s based on an actual human being...) and myself have been getting the creative juices flowing to plot the next few arcs for Brotherly Lore.
I shouldn’t be absent from Tapas for much longer but I honestly think it’s been in both mine and Brotherly Lore’s best interest to take this small hiatus. The end product will be a stronger, far healthier comic and creator! I’ll be sure to keep you all updated on this site and on Twitter! Thank you again for your time and patience, I appreciate you all!

Hey Everyone! Just a quick update: First and foremost: I'm sorry about skimping on last weeks episode of Brotherly Lore...post 4th of July events came in to play. Also, Wednesdays are proving to become very difficult to release updates on due to work and other personal life stuff. So going forward, i'm going to start updating Brotherly Lore every Friday instead. (Gives me a little more wiggle room to create those strips and helps me start your weekends off right! ;) I'll post THIS weeks episode in the morning. Thank You all for your patience!
