I am Daniel Chapel, a storyteller, illustrator, animator, and 3D modeler. I have been an artist since I could pick up a pencil, and have been inspired by many animated shows and movies. My biggest influences have been Steven Universe and The Owl House, which have inspired me to take a fantasy-esque pathway with my art. Throughout my journey, I have mostly used Procreate, Nomad Sculpt, and Autodesk Maya to make my creations a reality. I normally start by sketching my characters out, making a reference sheet, and developing them from there. I specialize in characters and character design to showcase aspects of myself through my characters. My webcomic, Hiraeth, illustrates this, as all of the characters embody different parts of my identity. I am truly passionate about what I create, and I hope to inspire other artists to express themselves.
