Wanted to give an update on my lack of updates.
Long story short, I hit a mental wall.
For the entire Summer, I stared at my screen, unable to draw. The current chapter is halfway done; I got really into finishing the current fight scene, but afterwards, I just lost all motivation.
I think the main culprit is that I took too much on.
Trying to colour the old chapters, get Mercs going again, and keep up with the current story arc, not to mention promotion.
The more I thought about what I had to do and the order I had to do it, the harder it became to do anything.
It doesn't help that the Indigogo camping back in March did a number on my self-esteem.
I tried to brush it off, but it's hard not to internalise the failure to raise any money (seriously, the only contributions were my Mum and one of my siblings. The one still on the Christmas present list) as a rejection of Raikiri as a whole.
I've been struggling with those feelings of failure and have maybe found an outlet that can satisfy them.
The good news is that I recently got a new job!
After 11 years I finally got something new; one with a much better schedule that will hopefully keep me productive.
We'll see if this change in my life can help get me back on track.
Considering what Keanu's going through in the story, maybe my writing is starting to affect me.
Or maybe the story is a reflection of how I was already feeling.
Either way, Chapter 16 should be out by the end of September, and the printed version of Volume 4 shouldn't be too far behind.
And for anyone who subscribed and is looking for a subscription in return, sorry for the delay I'll check your stuff out soon.

Operation Rainbow
Recently I attempted a Kickstarter to colour the previous chapters, which failed but I'm moving ahead by doing everything myself.
Originally it was going to be after Volume 6, but I want to put my past work behind me so I can move on so I'll be doing it after Volume 4, specifically Chapter 16.
Not sure how long it will take, probably a month or so if I don't procrastinate, so hopefully won't stop the story for too long. Chapter 16 is a natural pause point.
I'm also going to be trying to post updates more consistently, especially on Patreon which I've been neglecting over the past few years due to nobody caring.
Chapter 15 is up there now for £1 members, with the public release on the 1st of June.
And finally, I'm officially retiring the black and white volumes in favour of colour going forward.
The black and white versions will still be available for sale at a discounted price, but only the 3 volumes I've already done.
If one person asks for them I'll release future volumes in black and white as well, but otherwise, it feels like additional effort for a product people don't want.

I made some other edits for the second edition of the paperback, like better shadows and backgrounds, so I'm pretty pleased with how my George Lucas Special Edition has turned out.
