Felix sat in his bed, hunched over. His eyebags deep and sunken, his eyes staring into the distance. The revelation of what happened to Luna still weighing heavily in his mind.
Curled into a ball, his hand scratched the back of his head.
“What am I doing?” He clenched his fists, yet there was no strength in them, “Jackal’s still out there... All of those criminals are still out there…”
Willpower flickered in and out of him, unable to muster any energy.
“Why am I here? Why am I moping around?”
His eyes sank further into nothing, “I can’t… I can’t just stay here doing nothing.”
There was a knock on the door.
“May I come in?” It was Isabelle’s voice.
“Yeah…” He answered with a voice that was barely any louder than an exhale.
The door creaked open, and his blue eyes widened slightly.
She stepped inside.
Her long hair was down, not like the ponytail it was always tied in, and its color was now much darker —
“I... dyed my hair.” She twirling her a strand of her now-brown locks, “This is the closest color I could get it to how it used to be… before I became an esper.” She explained, yet he could barely process her words.
His blue gaze was fixated on her body. Her shoulders were bare. the fabric loose and nearly transparent. She was dressed in nothing but a nightgown.
“Isabelle..?” His voice cracked, slightly flustered.
With a faint click, the door behind her locked.
“I know... You’re not in the right state of mind right now.” She approached, climbing up his bed, “I can’t imagine what’s going through your mind.”
She reached out and grabbed his hand, feeling the warmth of her palm. Her fingers holding tightly to his, “How bad you must feel right now…”
He didn’t speak. Only stared into her piercing crimson eyes, glowing in the darkness of night.
“But... I want you to know…” Isabelle lifted his hand from the bed, steadily guiding it to her chest. He felt the soft fabric first, then her heartbeat second, “I want you to know that I’m here for you.”

Grant took a fighting pose.
The prisoners conversed among themselves.
"I dunno man, I have like four months left till parole."
"Yeah, I have two months left. I haven't gotten into any trouble so far. I just wanna see my wife and son."
"I've seen enough movies to know that this situation is gonna get me killed."
"I don't wanna get hurt, let me just get cozy in my cell."
"You see those eyes? They're red"
"They kinda look like their glowing."
"Yeah, I don't wanna fuck with that."
"What about you guys?"
"Sixteen years."
"Eighteen years."
"Forty two years."
"Twenty five years."
"So nothing to lose?"
"Yup. Nothing to lose.
"We might get our limbs broken."
"True, but might as well, just for the hell of it."
"Its probably gonna be the most exciting thing until I get out."
One of my readers once asked why Luna is so nice when he's "Le epic edgy super soldier" Well obviously its because they don't want to make a Homelander.

"Zero... rotate Zero. yes... YES! The two of us must reach maximum velocity. Faster, Zero, FASTER!" Nero said in the darkness as his pet squirrel, Zero, rotated to the whims of his red aura.
Isabelle opened the lights, and the Zero fell to the table, dizzy and unable to move straight.
"What are you doing?" She asked.
"Nothing... I was doing nothing..."
"But I saw you spinning--"
"Who are you to accuse me?!"
"Accuse you of what?!"
"Go away!"
