Update on my tablet situation:
Last night I gave it up for dead and bid on a new one via ebay auction... and this morning behold! I wake my computer up and the tablet comes on right away, works perfectly, has been working all day, no sign of issues. And I won the damn auction for the new tablet. Can't tell if I've wasted my money or if I should bank on my current one crapping out soon anyways. Either way, I have a tablet again, just to follow up with you guys.

So did you turn it of and turn it back on?? is it plugged in? Does it have a power source!! Honestly If you had it turned off for longer than 5 minutes it probably dumped a lot of memory and reset it self!! maybe?!?!?!
But of course it did >_>; My tablet also crapped out a year or so ago and wouldn't work no matter what I did... until wacom's customer service FINALLY answered me after I had cursed them to the ends of the earth, then my tablet magically sprang back to life. Because of course it did -_-

So my tablet suddenly broke today, that happened. With the new MM scene almost done, and I have a convention in a month I still need to draw for. Awesome. More details on the issue here at my tumblr:

Other updates: twisting and manipulating the cord does nothing, the tablet won't turn on even when I connect it to a different computer, the driver is up-to-date, I've tried cleaning out the USB connector with an air compressor. If anyone has had this problem and knows what to do, PLEASE HELP ME. Otherwise, I plan on having to order a new one by tomorrow lol.
