I won't be making announcements about the comic's progress on Tapastic anymore. Any and all progress updates will be posted on my Instagram and shared to my Tumblr. Both of those links are in my profile.
I'll be making an announcement regarding the comic's progress on my Instagram in a few hours. Said announcement will involve a new update schedule. Stay tuned. :)
So, chapter 2 is going to be a bit late this month. School and life got in the way of my schedule and I didn't have time to work on pages. The plan is that chapter 2 is going to be uploaded by the end of this month - after that, I'm not going to upload the third chapter until the first of April, that way I can get the schedule back to where it should be. I just wanted to apologize in advance and explain the situation to you guys before you started asking questions.
I am pleased to announce that I am now on Instagram!
...Well, I was on Instagram for a while now, but I never really used it. That's not the point though - the point is that I now have an Instagram specifically for my art! I'm mainly going to use it to market The Reaper Brothers with things like silly character sketches and storyboards. There's going to be more than that on there, of course, but I think you get the gist. If that kind of thing interests you, go ahead and follow me on Instagram! I added the link to my profile a few minutes ago, so just click that and you'll be there. If you don't want to follow me, you don't have to, but following me on Instagram might just get you some exclusive content that'll keep you hyped while you're waiting for the next monthly update. Thanks!
AFTER WHAT SEEMS LIKE YEARS AND YEARS OF WORKING AND NOT SAYING A WORD TO YOU GUYS, I AM PROUD TO SAY THAT I HAVE FINISHED DRAWING ALL OF THE FIRST CHAPTER! WOO! (Also I'm not dead lol)
Now that I've finished all of the pages, I'm going to design a new banner for the series because the current one is pretty old and I want to start completely fresh. The first chapter for this...reboot, I guess, will be uploaded on January 1st, 2017, at midnight, because New Years. After this I will update the comic on the 1st of every month at 7:00 PM CST. These updates will consist of 1 chapter each time, because I want to give you guys a lot more to read with each update than just one page.
I'm excited to show you guys the new first chapter, and I hope you guys are excited to see it. I hope you all had an amazing Christmas, Hannukah, Kwanza, or whatever you celebrate, with your families and friends. :)
I now have a set plan for the comic's update schedule.
Instead of doing one chapter a week or one page a week, I've decided to go with a nice compromise by uploading one chapter a month. This way I'll be able to produce more content without stressing myself out. Also the comic will flow much better this way.
The first two chapters of the new version of The Reaper Brothers will be uploaded on New Year's Day at midnight, because New Year's.
Currently writing the final version of the first volume of The Reaper Brothers. I've written the first two chapters and I'm nearly done with chapter three. The writing process is going quickly. Volume One will be short probably.
After 1,000 years of this profile being dormant, I have finally returned to the great webcomic haven that is Tapastic.
Now that I'm back after being inactive for so long, I actually have some more news regarding the webcomic. This is going to be a long update, so I'm going to organize it into a numbered list for you guys.
1.) I am rewriting all of the content for the comic that I've already written. In other words, I'm making an entirely new script. When I read my old draft that I had for the script, I have not only found it to be horribly jumbled, but I also found the beginning to be waaayyyy too exposition-y and boring to slog through, so I'm making it a lot more interesting this time around. You'll thank me for this later. (On another note, Aaron won't be wearing a silly mask this time around. I don't know what I was thinking with that idea, that was just unnecessary.)
2.) The new version of the comic will have a completely different art style. While I was gone, I've been experimenting with art style, and I've found an art style that's not only easier to draw dynamic poses with, but is also more expressive and less stiff than my old one ever will be. The style will based on a mixture of my old drawing techniques, the art of the Scott Pilgrim graphic novels, and the art of the anime series Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt. To get an idea for what that might look like, look at my new icon.
3.) If the one chapter a week thing doesn't work out, I might just post one page a week. I don't want to do this, but at the same time I'm seriously considering it. If you want to help in this decision, I put up a poll on my Twitter - which is now added to my list of social media in my profile - that I would really appreciate you participating in.
That's all for now. If you have any questions, ask me questions on here, my Tumblr, my Twitter, and my Reddit. Thank you for reading, and thanks for the 10 followers. That's awesome.
