Sometimes, if I don't post a comic up here on a Sunday, it means I'm doing other projects somewhere else. Or just fanart, for fun! Here's a little taste of what I'm up to this week. HELLO! Yes, yes, hello there, I am still alive, and I still make comics. However, I had a HECK of a time bouncing back from Covid (see my recent fever dream comic for an in-depth look), and it absolutely wrecked my brain for a while. Therefore, I decided to take a true summer vacation for the first time in years, and I'm almost ready to start drawing again. Thanks to those of you who stuck around, you will not regret it!
On a different (and hopefully-not-preachy) note, you'll notice that a lot of my art is about mental health. For most of my life, I completely ignored my burnout and anxiety disorder, and my comics are a reminder to myself not to do that anymore. I hope that my self-imposed summer vacation inspires you, dear reader, to take care of yourself as well. Self-care looks different for all of us, and is not always possible, but I hope you're able to find a quiet moment of respite someday soon.
In other news, I'll be at San Diego Comic Con this weekend! I may visit the Tapas booth on Friday afternoon dressed as movie-version America Chavez. On Sunday, I'll be dressed as comic-version America Chavez, wandering around with my husband (who will be dressed as TVA Variant Loki. XD) If you see me, feel free to offer me an elbow bump or a knowing nod!

Hi there! Just now realizing I've never posted to this little message board, but I just want to say thanks to all the people who have subscribed or reached out in any way! I've only been on Tapas for a couple months, but the experience has been wonderful. Climbing Trees is a very long-running series (I think...6 years, now?), but I've posted only the most recent comics in an effort to make the Tapas conversion a bit easier on myself.
