I'm pretty much your typical 21 year old aspiring cartoonist. Probably my biggest dream as of right now is to someday get published and see my comics in stores.
Update here!
I'm afraid I'll be going on hiatus for a while due to school taking up most of my time (though most of you have probably already gathered that, LOL).
Oh yeah, I never told you guys, but I'm in animation school now! Sheridan College, to be more precise. I'm having a lot of fun here, but it saps up a LOT of my time. As in, I don't even have time to work on my own personal art and projects anymore.
Still, I thought I'd let you guys know anyway that the storyboards for Chapter 2 of my PMD fancomic is actually done! I've even started on Chapter 3, but that's been halted due to work.
I'm still super active on other social media though, especially on Twitter so if you want to chat then head on over! :D
The storyboards for chapter 1 are complete! It'll be a total of 53 pages! (hoo boy)
I'll most likely storyboard the next couple of chapters first before starting to do the actual pages though, but it shouldn't take too long!

For those who were looking forward to Lady Optic, I'm sorry. I still really want to make it into a comic one day, but it doesn't seem like it'll be here as soon as I had planned.
As for my next project, I know it may disappoint some of you - especially those who aren't a fan of the series - but I've grown pretty fond of the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games in recent months and have actually already written up a story for it.
It's not going to be a fan fiction (depends on how you classify it, anyway). No canon characters from the games will appear in my comic at all. I want to try my hand at making a completely new PMD story, as if it were the newest game in the series, so that means new pokemon that are rarely seen in the series and even an entirely new region will be featured.
The pokemon/characters have been chosen and the story and chapter events have all already been written from epilogue to prologue. I've even gone and designed the majority of assets from the village to it's buildings. All that's left to do before starting to draw the pages is to finish designing some locations and to draw the storyboards, then I'll be all set! You can see the protagonists I drew a while back below, or you can visit my tumblr to see all of the drawings I've done for the story so far.
That's all for now! Sorry for the sad news, but I hope you look forward to my future projects any how! Until next time!
Best of luck to you on your future projects! You always want to be happy with your work, so take all the time you need to make sure that YOU are happy with the end results, as well.
I'm excited to see more work from you, regardless! Definitely let us know when you post up your PMD story--I'm looking forward to it. <3 Aron is one of my favorites--glad to see it's one of the Pokemon you'll be featuring!
I know I've been silent recently and I want to apologize for that. I lost motivation to develop Lady Optic around the time I published Balance. I felt motivated again around halloween/christmas, but I realized a little ways into development that I was sprinkling a lot depressing themes - well, more than I was comfortable with anyway - and ultimately didn't enjoy the story I was writing which made working on the project feel like trekking through mud.
Which is why I've decided to start over with Lady Optic. I'll still keep the characters, the original concept and the ending I had planned, but I'll be going back to square one when it comes to planning out events and how they're told. I've even thought up of a completely new element that I'll introduce that wasn't included before that I think will make the story better off.
However, with all that said, I have to admit that I'm still in a development slump with LO. One of the reasons I chose it to be my next comic was because it was the shortest out of all my story ideas therefor the fastest to do, but now I've had a little change of heart. Rather than trying to better myself artistically before I tackle my bigger projects (let's face it I wouldn't get anywhere with that mentality), I've decided to just do the comic I feel like I'd have the most fun doing. I have a couple of other stories in mind that I'd much rather draw right now, and so I think I'll just go ahead and do those instead. (1/2)
New update on the comic book!
I found a cheaper publisher, CreateSpace! Well, not really found, per say. I've known about them for a while but never got to them until now so, myeh.
Anyhoosel! Next step is to put them up for sale! Still not too sure about the pricing, though...
Ah well, I still got until Otakuthon to decide on stuff like that.
GUYS. OMG GUYS.
GUESS WHAT I WOKE UP TO THIS MORNING!!
I'm thinking of selling these during conventions and stuff. What do you think?
Oh, and Lady Optic is getting it's 5th chapter planned out! Stay tuuuned!~
Yeah, progress for Lady Optic has been slow (like always), but that's not to say there isn't any! I just get distracted easily, sorry .///.
For what it's worth, though, I've got up to the 3rd chapter planned! Almost half-way there! Aaaand, while I was writing chapter 2 and 3, a new character suddenly pushed their way into the story! I like her a lot since now it'll be easier to give the "antagonist" more depth and relatable motivations. Always a plus!
Sadly, however, it seems as though I'll have to redo everyone's character sheets since I was pretty stupid and got the measurements wrong, making the characters seem younger and shorter than they really were. It's not too bad, though: I've got half of them redrawn already.
And that's about it for now. I'm really sorry for the slow pacing, but I promise I'll try my best to get this story out sometime this year!
Aha! So I FINALLY found the song that inspired the comic! It was on my old mp3 that I had lost a couple of years back but just recently found in the pocket of my snow pants (you darn thing, you!) So you can now go listen to it while you read it (or just look at it, since, ya know, it's a silent comic). It takes a few seconds for it to start so bear with it.
I'll also be posting progress of my upcoming comic soon (hopefully), so stay tuned!
