Since my little niecie recently managed to stand herself up for the first time, here's a proverb for the occasion.
The proverb is said to be West African by origin. If you have a more precise area of origin, please let me know. Also, the symbol I chose for the proverb is called the "nyansapo," or "wisdom knot:" an Akan symbol for wisdom, ingenuity, and intelligence. If the usage of this symbol is culturally wrong or offensive, please let me know and I will find a more suitable symbol. Thanks for reading!
