Why Settle?

I was stirred by a featured entry to quite actively oppose this idea. What do you think? Is life really precious, or is there no real meaning in existence?
Also, tell me what you think of paper and ink. Is it a downgrade? Is it nice, quaint? Feedback will help expedite my experimenting, so it is much appreciated.

If life was meaningless then why do most go to school, get a job and raise a family? Why bring more life on Earth if it's meaningless? and why do it for billion of years? Wouldn't that make us fools to keep trying to survive, adapt and evolve in a meaningless life? Conclusion life isn't meaningless, most of us just haven't found it's real meaning.
