"Hurry up with the reports." I spoke deadly calm turning from the petrified little blond girl holding the stack of papers. I had no time for mess ups right now it was almost time for our yearly celebration. I wanted this one to be perfect in every way. I needed to wow every one into voting for me instead of that stupid rebel boy and scare off any one like him. This generation thinks they can out do their elders. Plain disrespectful in my eyes as I see it. Walking into my office I slop into a slouch knowing that all the cameras were outside of the office. I loosened the tie around my neck reaching for a pack of cigarettes. I hear a soft shy knock at my door angering me. Why can't they have some servility?
"What!" I yell and I hear foot steps run away erratically as I lit the cigarette inhaling deeply. I have made it so clear through the years that this hour is my hour. It is my time only and that is how it will always be. I shuffle through pages of this years event and shake my head. No this won't do at all; how could they think this garbage would ever do this time around. I am surrounded by idiots and no one to keep me sane. I sigh smoke puffing up from my lips. I rip the pages in half and throw them in the trash hoping that will be the last that I have to do that to. I pick up the phone stubbing out the red amber looking at my picture above the fireplace. I hated that they did that. Why do I need to look at a huge picture of my self on a wall when I have mirrors or a phone for that matter. Shaking my head I start speaking to the women on the other end of the phone. "These plans are useless they are to plain and predictable. I told you I need something unusual and creative to promote myself. Yes, I know just come up with something good the date is approaching and we all know I hate rushing a master piece. Yes, I will do so thank you bring in the men and tell them to bring their ideas of who would be good.
