Clover looked at the girl standing next to her. She looked about fourteen. She had her dark pink hair up in pigtails with blue ribbons, the same colour as the suit that she was wearing.
A suit. A very well washed and spotless suit. She looked very much out of place in this world. It also had a lot of pockets on it, in seemingly random places. There were three on the right arm alone. In her top breast pocket was a little red folded handkerchief. She was also wearing a striped red and white tie.
"So, ma'am is there any way I can help you? Surely there is a way I can help you?" She smiled sweetly.
Clover stared at the girl, but continued to say nothing. She wasn't sure how to react. She turned back to scanning through the flyers on the pole, deciding to just not respond.
"Oh, you must think I'm very strange mustn't you!" She said. Then she patted around her many pockets and pulled out a little card, somewhere from the inside of the suit. "Here my card! I had them printed just yesterday and today you will be the first ever to receive it! My very first handing out card thing! How exciting!"
Clover slowly reached out and took the card. It, like the suit was also all blue. The lettering on it was silver.
Tabitha Collins.
Detective.
Also looks for pets.
"So, are you looking for anything in particular that you need assistance with? My speciality is pets. I like looking for pets! They are the easiest to find. Oh my! I forgot to mention though, I've already been paid for my services to aid you in any way possible! I understand that you are a remarkable detective yourself, just think of me as your ... what is the word. Sidekick!"
"Wait what?" Clover said. "You've been paid? Who paid you?"
"Yes! Some man, whose name I unfortunately cannot remember, told me to wait here for a beautiful lady to come wonder by and aid her if possible because he could not be there himself, and he was sad about it! So sad! But also he was my first customer! So I was so happy! But I had to pretend like I was not happy so my face was like this!" She pulled a face that kind of looked like she was constipated. "I concentrated very hard to try to be sad when he was being not happy like I was." She nodded her head agreeing with herself.
"Oh. Ugh. I..."
"Look, I..."
Tabitha put her hand to Clovers mouth and shushed her. "Hush! Mr. Dreamboat man with the head bandana told me that you would try to speak nonsense and I must hush you. I have been paid for my services. My duties must be done. You can call be Tabby!" She smiled.
