Episode Three of BAD MEDICINE opens with a hot seduction of the bewildered young Timthie Draven by the amorously beautiful Magdalena Garterfling, which is interrupted by Magdalena's hot-headed boyfriend, Zeus Hemlockhurst. Timthie defends himself admirably against Zeus's jealous attack, at which point Severine Hemlockhurst enters, demanding that the unstable Chamelea take her medicine...
Rural England, 1930s. A distinguished psychiatrist, Dr. Vaughn Pivott, is driving his young patient, Timthie Draven, through a terrible storm, and is deeply concerned that Timthie will miss his next dose of medication. A sudden car accident, in which the doctor vanishes in the wild river, makes this inevitable, and Timthie seeks shelter at a nearby Gothic mansion, Hemlockhurst Hall, where a whole separate cauldron of mayhem and murder is brewing. In the midst of it, Timthie meets the lovely and fragile Chamelea Hemlockhurst, who turns out to be on the same psych medication as Timthie...and like him, she has missed her last dose. Are these young people, then, responsible for the night of terror that follows?
In the spirit of Alfred Hitchcock, Agatha Christie, and vintage old-dark-house thrillers, BAD MEDICINE offers plenty of classic mystery entertainment.
