In the first episode of BAD MEDICINE, young Timthie Draven finds himself stranded at the forbidden Hemlockhurst Hall after a car accident, during which his psychiatrist, Dr. Pivott, disappeared. Suffering withdrawal from his psych medication, Gannerall, Timthie soon finds that, amid the great mansion's family tensions and simmering violence, his meds is the least of his worries...
Rural England, 1930s. A distinguished psychiatrist, Dr. Vaughn Pivott, is driving his young patient, Timthie Draven, through a terrible storm, and is deeply concerned that Timthie will miss his next dose of medication. A sudden car accident, in which the doctor vanishes in the wild river, makes this inevitable, and Timthie seeks shelter at a nearby Gothic mansion, Hemlockhurst Hall, where a whole separate cauldron of mayhem and murder is brewing. In the midst of it, Timthie meets the lovely and fragile Chamelea Hemlockhurst, who turns out to be on the same psych medication as Timthie...and like him, she has missed her last dose. Are these young people, then, responsible for the night of terror that follows?
In the spirit of Alfred Hitchcock, Agatha Christie, and vintage old-dark-house thrillers, BAD MEDICINE offers plenty of classic mystery entertainment.
