I really liked drawing this page. I was unsure if showing Lilith getting dressed was a good idea or not but in the end I thought it was a good idea and went with it.

The last panel was a challenge, having Lilith be outside the actual panel but still be surrounded by it. But I like having characters outside panels like that, I think it looks cool.

Also I like her outfit, though I'm afraid we won't see it much until chapter 2 because she'll be wearing her winter coat and a scarf because, like the old version, a majority of chapter 1 takes place outside.

I also really like the old, parchment-y narration bubbles. Those will be explained later in chapter 1. Possibly early in chapter 2, we'll see how things pan out once all the magic and fighting in chapter 1 starts. Although the fighting gets dragged into chapter 2 a bit but the last few pages of chapter 1 and the first few pages of chapter are more flexible than the rest of chapters 1 and 2 because of the way I wrote the fight. So there's some wiggle room to throw in a quick explanation or hint at what it's for. Chapter 3, as far as I've planned, is going to be more or less the same as the original version and that's where the explanation for the parchment narration boxes will show up.

My friends from high school came up (down, since they drove south?) this weekend to visit me so I didn't get a lot of work done on pages, but I've got to take a break now and then.

We went to Redondo Beach and the Santa Monica pier and held birds and went in the ocean and sat in the sun and I dug in the sand looking for cool shells and junk and we went to Hollywood and compared our hand and feet sizes to the prints in front of the Chinese Theater and got lost looking for a museum that apparently didn't exist and had ice cream and other fun things.
