My story is being written as I type,
Unfortunately, there is no delete button.
I can, however, take a red pen and scratch out a memory.
But it doesn't mean the problem will disappear.
It'll forever be marked with a red line through it,
Symbolizing what I chose to pretend to forget.
But the mistake will always still remain.
I'll keep making these mistakes,
With no ability to erase what has been done.
I can, however, take a red pen and write what the lesson was.
Suggest how I can handle the situation better,
Maybe encourage a more proper resolution.
I'll waste so much paper, or use too much space.
I'll try to cut, wash, and even edit my own memories.
But in the end, the mistakes are still there.
A timely lesson, in an unmarked chapter.
A lesson, mistake, or trial I'll never be able to quite forget.
But I'll try everything, just to keep making more mistakes on these pages.
