"So we're all here?" a tall man dressed in white with golden trim and a black collar around his neck.

"Yes sir," answered the old man Nine-Nine-Eight.

The man nodded, "Very well then. What happened when he was handed Memento? It's not like you to shut down the entire system so suddenly."

"We had a little problem," Nine-Nine-One answered.

Eight people were sitting on the second floor in the center of a black room with chairs in a circle. The chairs were filled with the members of the organization, the "Number-ies".

Nine-Nine-Two waved his hand, "Please! We had a disaster! That boy's power filled up the entire room!"

The old woman with a raspy voice sat a few seats away from Nine-Nine-Two and she nodded, "The entire system was completely overloaded! We had to force a shut down!"

Rupert raised his hand, "Calm down, Irene, I'm sure it was just a glitch."

"Glitch?!" she shouted, "My security is fool-proof! Nothing should have gone wrong!"

"Maybe nothing did," Vlalan answered scratching his chin.

"Thinking about something, Vlalan?" Nine-Nine-Six, a short girl who looked like she was about nine with her blond hair in pig-tails and big blue eyes.

Vlalan looked to the little girl, "Well, what if the hologram screen he was hooked up to just happened to be showing us his aura, Sara? I mean, Irene, it's programed to show our aura's right."

Irene nodded, "Yes, but it's not supposed to be that bright. It's supposed to be a contained visual of the persons aura."

Nine-Nine-Five, a thin woman who looked about 24 with glasses and hair up in a bun shook her head, "Right but isn't the aura white just like gold? Uncontrolable?"

"Now see here, Susan," Irene snapped, "My program is fool-proof meaning nothing can go wrong!"

"The boy seems nice enough," Nine-Nine-Eight cut in, "What if that's just his aura?"

"The aura's don't show something that bright, Channel," Nine-Nine-Two answered. "As Irene said, it's a program that's designed and created for the viewing purposes of the person's aura once given Memento."

"Dai, you more than anyone should understand how bright an aura can be," Vlalan answered. "Your's was a giddy yellow and almost blinded us."

"But I didn't set off the alarms, Vlalan," Nine-Nine-Two glared.

"Enough," Nine-Nine-One shouted. "It sounds to me like this boy's aura is out of control. If we were to monitor it yet again wouldn't that solve everything? As a scientist, Irene, to create a sound result you must perform several acts of the experiment right?"

Irene nodded, "Yes, Jasien, but we are supposed to change things each time."

"What if he overloads the system again?" Rupert asked, "That would leave us defense-less for another 10 hours until we can restart completely wouldn't it?"

"My assisants are working right now on finding a way to make sure the system doesn't get overloaded," Irene answered.

Vlalan shook his head, "I don't know... Elle's aura shut down everything in a matter of seconds. He didn't just overload the system, but he fried all of the lower floor's defenses completely and shut down the security fire walls for the upper floors."

"You mean he virtually and phsically put the entire system down?" Sara asked surprised. Vlalan nodded.

"Why don't we try something different?" Nine-Nine-Five, a business man who looked like fisherman. "I, Macheia, propose we leave the boy locked up in the recovery ward for the rest of the day and monitor his aura through the camera base? Surely that can't shut down the system right?"

"But we need to have someone carry in Memento to give it to him, and besides the cameras aren't hooked up to monitor auras are they?" Dai asked looking to Irene.

"No, but I could make them be able to." she answered.

Channel nodded, "I can stay with him and make sure that he's recovering--"

"No," Rupert interrupted. "The boy's seemed to take a relaxation around Vlalan. Why not let him take Memento to the kid?"

Vlalan looked at Rupert. Hell! Did he see in the car?!

Jasien nodded, "Very well. We'll let Vlalan take Memento to the boy as soon as the cameras are ready. Irene?"

"Yes sir."

"How long will it take for the cameras to be fully hooked up?"

"I can have them up in 10 hours," Irene answered, "For them to be full-proof."

"Well take the beta, you have two hours," Jasien answered. "Meeting dismissed. Oh, and no one go into that room for the next 12 hours. Vlalan, come to the monitoring room at the two hours to get Memento."

"Yes sir," Vlalan nodded.

Everyone stood up and left the room, Vlalan to be one of the last ones to leave.

Rupert handed Vlalan a note before he left. Vlalan opened it.

"Come to FLOOR 4 ROOM 5 after twenty minutes."
