Ju was as straight as they came, an impenetrable fortress of heterosexuality. Why then, did he find his gaze locked on Dylan's mouth every time the brunette spoke?
Ju noticed it the first time their little group of friends had gotten together after the fantastic Study Hall incident, which the Korean was only grateful Dylan hadn't yet mentioned. The honey eyed teen had been telling Trevor some random fact pertaining to who the hell knows what weird thing those guys talk about when the asian found his gaze locked unwaveringly on his best friend's lips and, even better discovery, he found he couldn't force his own unobedient eyes away from the display even after he'd caught himself staring.
It was impossible to look away. The way Dylan's lips moved when he spoke was just far too intriguing to break his gaze, constantly curving wide around deep sounds and never truly resting closed even when the boy wasn't actually making any sound. The brunette's pink tongue darted about with every noise, pausing to flick out and lick his slightly bit lower lip every once in awhile whenever Trevor took his turn speaking and revealing the glinting metallic shine of that new piercing with every motion. The worst was definitely when Dylan would bite the tip of that restless tongue though, sinking his teeth gently into the flesh just behind the metal ball whenever he looked thoughtful and putting it on full display in the process, the glinting show of the accessory somehow always leaving Ju's throat tight without any sort of heterosexual explanation.
Ju could've cried with relief when they finally reached their destination, the school cafeteria offering some sort of sanctuary as he immediately excused himself to go grab his lunch, only earning odd looks from every single one of his companions except for Dylan the Oblivious. However, it only took the asian a second to figure out this wasn't quite going to be the momentary reprieve he'd been hoping for when Trevor followed him to the pizza rack, a determined look hardening the blond's blue eyes.
"So, Ju, how's your morning been?" Trevor greeted friendly enough as soon as the pair was out of earshot, clapping the Korean male roughly on the back a little harder than could be called jokingly as they walked toward where the delicious scent of melted cheese and tomato sauce wafted up to greet them.
"Fine. Yours?" Ju replied shortly, staring firmly at his own hands as if he suddenly considered his nails to be the most interesting thing in the world as he reached out and grabbed a lunch tray.
"You sure?" Trevor prompted, completely ignoring the second half of Ju's response. "You look a little red in the face. Are you sure you're feeling good? Day hasn't been too hard on you?" Trevor pressed single mindedly, raising a suggestive eyebrow that his companion decidedly ignored wholeheartedly.
"It's been great, Trevor, really. Thanks for your mothering." Ju insisted stubbornly as he slid his tray determinedly along, snatching two slices of pizza from the rack without so much as glancing at his companion.
"You sure looked pretty uncomfortable back there." Trevor pointed out dryly, a hint of irritation entering his voice as if the guy was angry Ju was being so evasive - Which he wasn't, by the way, because there was absolutely nothing to confess here.
"Not sure what you mean." Ju lied without hesitation, quickly paying for his lunch before turning away from the pizza area and beginning to make his way toward where he and his friends usually sat - Though he momentarily considered getting as far away from the whole lot of them as soon as possible but decided that might not be too coy of a decision.
Trevor side stepped swiftly, moving impressively quick for a guy with a bum leg and came to stand directly in front of Ju, effectively cutting the Korean off from his destination. "I mean, you were staring at Dyan's mouth like you wanted to shove your tongue, and many other things I refuse to think about, down his bloody throat." The blond deadpanned abruptly, leaving no room for argument or avoidance in his words.
Ju gaped for a moment, too shocked and affronted to respond. Then, he super cooly floundered, beginning a few protests only to blubber out the first syllable before immediately moving onto the next in his desperate attempt to shut down any such ludicrous thoughts. There also may or may not have been some defensive flailing in the mix but Ju was adamantly denying that - Just as he was adamantly denying he had any such fixation with Dylan's mouth.
"It's the new piercing isn't it?" Trevor snickered after a few moments, grinning from ear to ear as if Ju had laid it all out before him in that one single reaction.
"No! It's not!" Ju protested a little too loudly, drawing the gaze of a few passerby students before he reigned in his wild embarrassment and lowered his voice. "It isn't - Because, contrary to popular belief, I'm not interested in Dylan or his pretty mouth!" The Korean male elaborated defensively in a much more socially acceptable hissed whisper.
"You just called his mouth pretty." Trevor pointed out matter of factly, smiling to himself as if he'd just won the lottery as Ju all but groaned in agony. "It's just, okay, listen, Ju," The blond then began in a much more sobered voice, the sudden seriousness of his tone making the asian straighten up and pay attention even if he had no such fixation of which they spoke. "Dylan is my friend and if I find out you're taking advantage of him, I will personally neuter you myself." Trevor then declared, his words sounding like a joke but his voice and features carrying none of the light hearted jovialness one was supposed to have when making a joke.
"Trevor!" Ju all but wailed before he remembered they were, in fact, in the middle of the school cafeteria. "I am not going to take advantage of him!" The asian protested helplessly, all but whining the words as he lowered his voice back to its proper whisper.
"Good!" Trevor replied easily, losing his murderous aura incredibly fast as his face returned to its earlier pleased grin. "I'll expect you to take him on actual dates, Ju. Not just sexscapades!" The blond informed cheerily, pausing to thump Ju on the back once more before strolling off towards their usual table without pausing to listen to the stream of whisper-screamed protests that trailed him.
