Two hours pass and the movie ends, Kai sits up and stretches, “Can we watch it again?” The girls ask getting excited, Kai smiles.

“I think once is enough for today,” Kai says standing up, he looks over at Mako and reaches over to shake his arm. Luka stands up the girls stand up and try to jump on him, he bends down as Amber jumps on his back. Luka stands up and grabs Embers hand, they start walking towards the door. Kai watches them walk to the door and smiles, Luka turns back to wait and sees him staring. He smiles back, Kai blushes and turns back to Mako, “Come on, everyone’s waiting for you,” Kai says as Mako stands up slowly.

“Sorry,” Mako says sarcastically as he walks away from Kai, Kai rolls his eyes and follows Mako to the door.

“You guys ready to go eat?” Kai asks as they all walk out together, the girls nod.

“Where do you guys wanna go?” Luka asks as they walk out the front door, the girls start yelling different restaurants as they get to the car. They all decide on a place, Luka starts the car and pulls out.

“I’ll text mom in case she wants to come,” Kai says texting her.

“Hey mom, we decided we’re going to ~~~~~~, just in case you wanna come,” Kai texts.

“Ok honey, I might be able to make it but I still have some work left to do. I’ll text you if I’m coming or not, love you and have fun,” Mom replies.

Kai sets his phone down and looks over at Luka, Luka doesn’t notice and continues to look at the road. Kai reaches over and sets his hand on Luka’s leg, Luka jumps a little, surprised, he smiles as he looks over at Kai, “Yes?” Luka asks chuckling, Kai laughs withdrawing his hand. Luka grabs it and puts it back on his leg, Kai looks up at him as he blushes.

“You can’t take it back now,” Luka says with a flirty smile, Mako listens to them. He looks at them with a disgusted face, Kai smiles and keeps his hand there.

“Gross,” Mako says rolling his eyes, Kai looks back at him.

“You’re just jealous you don’t have someone,” Kai says jokingly.

“That’s not true, I don’t need anyone,” Mako says turning in his chair, Kai smiles and turns back to look at Luka.

Luka pulls into the parking lot, he pulls into a spot and parks the car, “Let’s go guys,” Kai says unbuckling, the girls get excited and unbuckle quickly. Then they open the door and jump out, Mako gets out the other side and heads to the door. The girls run after him, Luka and Kai get out of the car at the same time and walk to the restaurant holding hands.

“Table for five please,” Ember says resting her chin on the counter, the lady smiles.

“How many adults?” The lady asks.

“Well, my brother is going to college but I don’t know if he’s an adult and then he has a boyfriend who is also going to college. Then I have another brother, his names Mako, who is in high school and then this is my sister,” Ember says, the lady smiles and nods.

“Three adults and two kids,” Mako says leaning on the wall by the door.

“Thank you,” The lady says grabbing the menu’s, Luka and Kai walk in as the kids follow her to a table. They slowly tag along, she finally stops at their table and sets the menu’s down, “Your server will be right with you,” She says walking away.

Everyone takes their seats and look at the menu’s, the girls start coloring as Mako, Kai and Luka figure out what they are going to eat.

“Girls make sure you figure out what you’re eating before the waiter gets here,” Kai says tapping their menu’s, the girls nod as they set down their crayons.

A few minutes pass and the waiter comes and takes their orders, once he leaves the girls start to color again as Kai and Luka talk. Mako sits their quietly playing on his phone.

“Mako?” Ember asks.

“What?” Mako asks looking up at her.

“Do you wanna play tic tac toe with me?” Ember asks handing him a crayon, Mako hesitates and then grabs it from her.

“I guess,” He says as she turns her paper.

Kai looks at them and smiles, “I’ve never seen him do anything with them on his own, he’s never been close with them,” Kai says snuggling up close to Luka, Luka smiles seeing how happy Kai was getting.

“I’m glad they're getting along too,” Luka says locking his fingers with Kai’s, both the girls continue to play tic tac toe with Mako until their food get there.

“He seems to be having fun, it’s cute seeing them get along so well,” Kai says as their waiter comes back.

“Sorry for the wait, here’s your food,” The waiter says setting it down, they all dig in.

An hour passes…

“Did you guys enjoy tonight?” Kai asks as Luka starts to drive, the girl's nod and smile. Mako nods slightly, Kai sees and smiles at him. Mako rolls his eyes with a smile, the girls snuggle up with each other as they fall asleep. Kai leans back in his chair as he relaxes, he looks over at Luka and smiles as his eyes slowly close.

Luka looks over at him and smiles, he looks in his mirror and sees the girls asleep. Then he looks over at Mako and smiles a little, “DId you enjoy the movie?” He asks looking back at the road.

Mako doesn’t answer at first, he then shakes his head no, “I didn’t see much of it, I fell asleep at the beginning,” He says with a small smile.

Luka smiles, “Let me tell you, you didn’t miss out. It was super boring, the girls liked it though,” He says as he pulls into their neighborhood.

“That’s good, at least someone enjoyed it,” Mako says watching the houses go by, Luka nods with a smile as they make it back to their house.

“What did you think of the food?” Luka asks not knowing what else to talk about.

“It was ok, not the best but not the worst,” Mako says as Luka pulls into the garage.

“Yeah, anyways. Could you wake up the girls for me or maybe carry them inside, I was gonna grab Kai. If not it’s all good,” Luka says trying not to annoy Mako.

“I can carry them in I guess, I wouldn’t want them bugging you guys,” Mako replies as he unbuckles and moves to the back.

“Well I wouldn’t want to bug you or anything,” Luka says turning off the car as he gets out.

“It’s whatever,” Mako says as he gets out of the car with one of them in his arms, he heads inside as Luka grabs Kai.
