She opened the door of her father’s room to find Tarkik laying on his bed and reading a book.
“Ehem” She cleared her throat but he didn’t look up.
“I need your help, I need you to tell me what to do in this situation,” He said nothing.
She grabbed a chair and sat right in front of him.
“I’ve just realized that my society isn’t perfect-”
Tarkik began to laugh
“Seriously? You just realized that? Well, you should of notice that since the beginning, from the way you people treat your slaves OH wait sorry, silly me to even think you would realize that from the beginning since You. Don’t. Care”
She crossed her arm “I DO CARE! I am trying to fix what my father has been doing for ages, throwing important matters under the rug”
“No you don’t, you don’t care a rat ass about us, the slaves, the gladiators and the poor. OH and I just realized you are only concerned right now because it’s your own citizens that are poor and not the ones who are form the Moon and earth nation so nevermind, turns out you’re still selfish after all”
“I do care, by realizing that my own citizens are suffering I can have an idea on how the rest of the people under our rule are suffering after all father said the state of one's nation is the reflection of the state of its colonies”
Tarkik puts the book down and sat up “well sorry that it’s hard for me to believe you when you told me you loved me and then went to fuck some slave like whatever we had was nothing!”
She gasped “I-I wasn’t thinking right and I do care-”
“And what was the reason? To do it out of spite? Why?! I WAS FORCED! I DON’T HAVE CONTROL WHEN YOU FATHER DECIDES TO FUCK ME!” His face was red and his fist were shaking in anger.
“I..loved you I really did but instead of seeing your father as a problem you saw me as the responsible one, the one at fault. I wish to run but it’s not trauma from those days at that basement that keeps me here. Your father has my sister. I don’t know where but he has her and has promised to keep her safe if I behaved. That was after he had already taken the life out of me with the constant violation at that basement”
Her heart was aching and she felt tears in her eyes “I-I never deserved you Tarkik, I never really did and you know what? I am selfish and never really cared” She grabbed his hand “I ignored your pain like I ignored everyone else's and now that I’m faced with reality I don’t know what to do. I know that my father isn’t a perfect leader and neither would I be if I took his place. My sorry will never be enough to mend the damage I caused you..but if you can give me a second chance I will try to make it up to you. So please help me, I want to make this nation a better place.”
He looked unsure and full of distrust.
“I’m not asking you to become my boyfriend again just to help me in this situation”
He takes a deep breath and relaxes. “Fine”
