They decided that talking in her father's room was not the best place so they went to her room instead.
“Okay, what do I do?”
“First we need to fix your nation first before you even try to fix the other nation colonies-”
“I want to get rid of slavery”
“Come on Omisha I know you are smart getting rid of slavery is not going to be that easy, you have a lot of people who benefit from this even if they are in middle class. The best thing you can do is create some regulations to ensure that slaves aren’t being mistreated as much”
She nodded and walked around her room “But how am I supposed to change my nation when the father is in charge”
“Easy, ask him to leave that part of the city to you like a challenge, so you can prove to yourself you can actually lead”
“But my father does not care for that section of the city he’d never give it to me”
Tarkik crossed his arms “that man is prideful, he sees that section of the city as a lost cause and he’d probably think that you will never succeed-”
“And knowing my father he’d probably like to see me fail at least once to prove to me that those nobodies are not worth our time”
Tarkik nodded “It’s a good way to start but before you can ask this we should start thinking about what will be your first step”
Omisha took out a few sheets of papers “let’s write them down”
After a few hours of talking and coming up with ideas, they became satisfied with the results.
He took the map out of the sun nation’s city. “So our first move is to give these people a means to transportation and school, the houses are old and in need of rebuilding, we will have to hire people for that. With this new plan you’ll be creating jobs for people, now we might not have a lot of money to give out so you’re job is to find people in the rich, middle class that are willing to volunteer or earn less to teach these poor people how to build roads, house, etc. Also the rich waste a lot of food so you should put up food banks in the meantime as these people get their life straight. The food that you will be giving out on these food banks will be the food that the rich waste. We’ll be reusing many of their products.” Tarkik straightens the pages and handed it to Omisha.
“Goodluck”
“Woah Woah- wait a minute this is a lot for me to do!”
“Yeah, I guess it can be and we are just brushing the tip of the iceberg as you still need to build banks, hospitals and a better way to bring in food into this city, perhaps by making farmers come into the city and cell their food? But you don’t have to worry about that yet”
Omisha shook her head “But I still can’t do this alone! I need someone at my side”
Tarkik saw the way she was looking at him.
“No way, sorry you’ll have to find someone else you can to trust because there is no way your father will let me go and do some of your errands”
She sighs but stands up “Okay fine thanks for giving me a push in the right direction. I will succeed and prove to you I can be better”
