She talked excitedly to Tarkik about the advances Sunshine valley had accomplished.
People were now moving into new homes, restaurants were starting to be put up, streets were already paved and had names. One school so far was built and already had 200 children enrolled.
Most of the people were illiterate so a second school for the adults was being built.
She twirled around the room “farmers! Carpenters and smiths are coming into the city! And they have put up workshops, what's great is that they are taking apprentices too!”
Tarkik laughed and hugged her “You’re doing amazing Omisha! This is actually working! And you know what? Sun Valley is practically the true city of the sun nation since the rich/ middle class is just 1 percent of the actual city itself!”
“Yes! I know that and that means-”
“ you have more people being loyal to you than to the emperor!”
Out of happiness, Omisha leaned in to kiss Tarkik but he saw it coming and quickly step aside.
She almost fell to the ground from the sudden movement, she looked up in surprise.
“Sorry but I don’t like you that way Omisha”
She sighs “will there ever be a way to change your mind?”
He shrugged “I don’t know”
She felt disappointed ‘Of Course he’s still salty with me, the fact that I slept with someone else’ she thought.
“Sorry for trying to kiss you it’s not right I should have asked first before trying”
He nodded and before things got more awkward she changed the subject.
“So 3 months have gone by so far everything is good has... father mentioned anything to you about my success?”
Tarkik shook his head “No he hasn’t I don’t really know what he is planning but I’ve been getting a bad feeling off from him”
Omisha grabbed her coat and opened the door of her room “Thank you for telling me, I’m going back to the city and visiting the school”
Tarkik smiled “and I’ll just be here like always” He went out of her room.
Before they parted, they both hugged and what they didn’t realize is that someone was watching.
“See you around” She waved.
“Yeah see ya”
She jogged to the gate of her palace and she did a double take when she saw smoke.
The palace was on a hill and anyone on it could see the view of the city below and the smoke was coming from...SUN VALLEY!
She turned into her dragon self and flew as fast as she could.
When she got there she saw soldiers of her nation burning some buildings and attacking some of the citizens.
Her landing made the soldiers back away “What is the meaning of this?!” She yelled now in her human form.
“Orders from the emperor to bring order to this section of the city”
She was shocked “BY SETTING IT ON FIRE?!” Her eyes flashed yellow as she wanted to turn into her dragon self and burn them.
“NO! I order you to stop!”
One of the generals smirked “Sorry princess but we follow your father's orders any form of disobeying his orders may be treason”
“But he legally gave me this section of the city! I have the legal documents so you are attacking my land!”
“And the word of your father overrides any of his previous commands”
She was shocked and she felt helpless as part of the thing she worked so hard to build was being destroyed, people running away and getting hurt.
She shook her head “You are not taking this city!” And before she could attack she sees a rhino run over the group of soldiers.
The rhino turned to her “For our city and for our princess” He said and turned back to the soldiers.
She was shocked when she started to see the citizens of sunshine valley start to defend themselves.
She knew they’d need weapons so she flew to the closes weapons factory and with her claws ripped the roof of the factory. She took as many weapons as possible and flew back to the sunshine valley.
Dropping on the ground she saw many of the citizens taking the weapons and now using it against the soldiers.
Knowing they’d be fine she started to fly back towards the palace.
It was time to talk to her father.
