I sit down outside on a bench that's right behind the school's cafeteria. The beautiful purple tulips are blooming nicely as I sit and take in the fresh scent of roses and lavender.
Caleb and I are supposed to meet here today. He's the love of my life. I love the way his curly hair falls in front of his eyes, hiding his gorgeous hazel eyes. I love that his voice sounds like a million perfectly tuned violins playing in perfect harmony. He's sweet, He's kind, and I know he'd do anything for me.
I love him, I love him, I love him.
It's nearly 12 noon and my next class starts in an hour. He texted me and said he was around the corner talking to his teacher about his Valedictorian speech later this month. We're both graduating top of our class.
"Markah!?" Caleb said, quietly walking towards me.
"Caleb?" I said, grabbing his face, then hugging him "I've missed you so much!"
" You as well." He kisses my forehead, " I wish I could see you more."
" You know why we can't do that." Our parents are from two different Political Parties and cannot stand each other. My Mom and His mom are running for president and don't want us to have anything to do with each other. My Mom thinks he has a screw loose, and His Mother thinks mine is completely arrogant. But they can't keep me away from him. I knew it was love the minute we saw each other
" There's something I want to give you," Caleb said reaching into his back pocket and pulling out a little blue box that says. Tiffany and Co.
I take and open the small box to reveal a beautiful diamond necklace.
"Caleb!" I say, " This is too much. How could you afford this?"
He grabs my face and pulls me close, " Don't worry about it."
Excited by the small gesture, I grab his face and kiss him. His eyes widened at the shock.
We've never kissed before in our lives. We came close to it one day at a bonfire, but my mom texted me that it was time to leave so it never happened
I tried to pull away, but then he grabbed my waist and pulled me in again.
All of a sudden, both of our phones rang.
12:50 pm which means we have 10 minutes to get to our classes.
We looked at each other with excited eyes. happy about the new experience we just had, and how happy we are knowing that it was with each other.
As we said goodbye with one more passionate kiss, I wondered how long this love could last? Maybe a year, maybe 100 years all I know is I'm grateful for today.
