How about Doc shoots the mayor, saves probably plenty of people tons of trouble then grabs Cathy's mom and runs away? Is that too flashy? I guess so.
But wait. Her mom is there!? So I guess her mom really is real and not just some weird thing Cathy was experiencing. Though I admit I am confused now, haha.
