Looking around my apartment nothing had really changed, except now it looked like the complete place had been looted. Whoever had come to accumulate my things had far been subtle about it. This made me pretty furious about the shape of my place. Taking a breath I relaxed and told myself, I had more than enough money now to fix anything that might be broken. Romeo had said it would be forty-eight hours before the money would show up, I had a few things to review, such as my credit through the school for nursing. logging into my account I went to check my debt to the institute but nothing came up. The page said I owed zero to the academy and they were happy to have qualified me in my profession. I could have sworn that I owed them at the smallest over ten thousand. Confused I grabbed my phone and called the academy.
"Hello, Westwood healthcare academy, this is Laura, what can I assist you with?"
"Hello Larua, this is Aubree Saint-Hanser, I attended school here a year and bit ago."
"Yes, I'm viewing your file right now, Congrats your credit with the academy has been fully paid off. "
"Yes, I saw this online, have you any clue or can you see who paid that off?"
"Well, in your file here it says you got a sponsorship from one Romeo DeHarros."
"Is this an error Mr Saint-Hanser?"
"No, not at all."
"Did you need any other assistance?"
"No not at all, thank you. Have a good day."
Hanging up my phone I looked at the computer screen and didn't know whether to be pleased or irate at him. I could have paid my own debt with the coin he gave me, evidently, he knew this. I had a few days off work so I checked my bank and thought about going out to grab a bit to eat. I would have to go food shopping anyhow because my fridge had been cleaned out completely.
Slipping my shoes on grabbed my coat and wallet. Locking the door I wandered down to the lift and waited for it. I really didn't have to wait long for the lift. This was good, I was starving. Getting down to the main floor I jogged out of the building. It had gotten quite a bit colder then it had been in the morning. This didn't stop me as I got walking in the direction of the store and a cafe.
**** **** **** ****
Arriving at the cafe my hands were frozen and red from the cold. I ordered a warm tea and wrapped my hands around the cup warming them up a bit. Sipping my tea I grabbed a newspaper, reading through the paper I noticed right away a very nice house in the larger price range of the city. It was a beautiful home. Finishing off my tea I took the paper with me. I walked briskly to the store, once inside it was fairly busy. It felt like forever since I had gone shopping.
Grabbing frozen foods and a bunch of produce, I went to the canned food aisle, grabbing all my favourite things in cans, I spotted the jars of pickled asparagus and snagged a few jars. Score. After stopping at the ready to eat deli section I grabbed up a few things that looked like dinner to me. With way too many bags to carry home, I called a taxi and waited. It didn't take long for the taxi to pick me up.
Finally, I could just relax at my apartment with no worries about being murdered by a mafia king.
