I stepped out of the staff shower and changed into my scrubs. The clinic wouldn't be full at this time of the night but when you worked night shift you never knew what would roll threw the doors.
I walked the nurses station and grabbed up a clipboard of new cases or patients that had showed up to the clinic before I had. There was a new patient in room fifteen with a pretty bad case of food poisoning. That would be where I would start my night. I took the clipboard with me as I walked down to room fifteen. The smell of vomit was heavy in the room when I opened the door. I stepped inside and closed it behind me.
"Hello miss, I'm Aubree. I'll be your nurse for the night should you need anything just press your button in your hand there and I'll come see you as soon as I can."
She nodded and I quickly took her blood pressure and temperature.
"I'll be back in later to check on you hunny, rest easy."
I turned and left the room. I watched as a new patient was was wheeled in on a stretcher. It was clear there was quite some deep cuts on his leg. I rushed over and applied pressure to his wound. he didn't look impressed in the slightest bit. I grabbed the proper tools to stitch his wounds shut. Another nurse gave him a syringe full of a pain medication so that he wouldn't feel the stitches.
I began to stitch up the nasty wounds on his leg. He watched as I sewed the wounds, I got a creepy feeling this guy totally had way too many accidents or wounds in his life. After finishing up with his leg I turned him over to a different nurse and went on my way to check the rest of my own list of patients.

Half way through my shift I went for lunch. My other nurse friends accompanied me down the cafe. I walked to the cash and ordered a slice of pizza along with a small salad.
"That will be eight fifty."
I took out the ten dollar bill from my wallet and payed. When she tried to give me back the change in told her to keep it. I walked to the table where my co-workers were and sat down.
"Aubree anything interesting you got this night?"
"Nothing more then food poisoning, but I did have some guy watch me stitch his leg."
"Whoa I hate food poisoning cases, so messy, but as they say the night is young."
"Very true, we never know what's going to come in next."
I finished my lunch and went back to check on the lady with food poisoning. She was asleep like the dead, ha-ha I know bad joke. I walked back to my floor only for a clipboard to be solved into my hands by a doctor.
"Here's a new patient to add to your list, the gentleman is recovering from a stroke."
"Thank you,"
I walked to the gentleman's room to check to see how bad the stroke had hit him. He seemed to be functioning alright.
"Come closer sunny, I can't see you from back there."
"Hello Sir I'm Aubree, I'll be you're nurse this evening, Would you need anything you just press the red button in your hand and I'll be down to visit you as soon as possible."
"Thank you so much sunny."
I checked his blood pressure and IV line and all the other trinkets they had him hooked up to before bidding him goodnight and going to do a few charts for my clipboard.

After my shift was over i submitted my clipboard to the front desk and went to use the staff showers. I stripped out of my scrubs and into the change of clothing I brought. Get home and go to bed, that was my plan of action. I grabbed my few things from my and put my scrubs in the laundry basket. I walked threw the hall and down into the underground car garage. I always parked my car at the very end so I got more exercise. I set my messager bag on the trunk of the car and began to dig around for my keys. I felt someone breathing down the back of my neck suddenly and something was pressed to my hip.
"Don't scream. Who are you?" The man said sharply.
"My name is Aubree Saint-Hanser I'm a nurse, I work inside."
"Good enough, you do the job."
Pain erupted in the back of my head as he hit me with something. My vision swam and I passed out. The last thing I heard was.
"Don't forget to grabbed his bag and move his car. Keys are in his bag, that's what he was looking for."
Well shit.
