The Rabbis of the Citadel taught their people that everything in the entire world held a soul, a breathing heart. The Meonen, in turn, said that these were also tied to something else: a memuneh. According to the Meonen, a memuneh is an entity whose duty is watching and interacting with their charge. These charges include every person, concept, and thing. The actions that each memuneh take are reflected in an all-encompassing reality, invisible hands moving the world in the absence of God’s own words, but guided by the parallel motions of their counterparts.
The Rabbis called these entities angels. They also called them demons. But how can one describe to a blind man what he looks like?
