I originally intended for Mapel to call out "The Old Green Ash!" when they saw this tree, but I liked the austerity of the title text - it reminded me of a cinematic scene-reveal in a game like Zelda. I'm not sure if it works as a visual rubric at this point in the comic without having shown one before, but if that ends up being the case, I'll just have to add one somewhere in the beginning at some point... I say, nervous about the commitment.
Today I want to share a comic I found this morning on Twitter that made me all smiles: It's a sweet, gay, mini-comic about some D&D characters by Kate Sheridan. You can read the whole thing on Twitter here (https://twitter.com/killswitchkatie/status/1016172011121467392), but if you like it please consider picking it up on Gumroad (https://gumroad.com/l/fallowtime). Enjoy!
Welcome to Moonsprout, an island floating in the sky that’s known for its warm folks and natural science university. It’s a good place to live if you’re enthusiastic about geology and plant-life, or have found yourself to be recently alive despite being a wooden mannequin! Um.. I hope. “Moonsprout Station” is a fantasy comic about queer identities and relationships in a mysterious and whimsical setting that we’ve been left out of for a long time.
