Rindou blinked, "What do you mean he's not in heaven?! Isn't that where people go when they die?!"
Ba'Von shook her head, "I'll have to explain."
"Yeah.." Rindou nodded and sat down next to Kura, calming down.
"Before the war, everying was at peace. The world was only two. Heaven and yours. However, humans wanted to rule heaven aswell as their own world. Of course, the angels resisted with mighty force. The resistance went on for several hundred years. Then when Azrael was born, everything changed. Heaven's light began to fade and your world's life itself in the ground, began to fade also.
All of the power was being focused on two beings. Originally, Amphitra was born to rule Heaven and her twin, Omphitros was born to rule your world. But now that powers were disappearing, the two blamed one and another and summoned those that power was focused on.
Azrael and his twin brother, Hkniven, were summoned to the Hall of Gods. There they each gained a seal to protect the one of the seal- either Amphitra or Omphitros. The twins were young and the agreement went smoothly. Everything began balance back out, until from the highest point in the heavens came Galleon Star. Galleon came under order of the Empire, to poison one twin's mind and turn him on his brother.
Galleon succeed in tricking Hkniven into thinking Azrael didn't care about him anymore. So, when Galleon vanished, Hkniven did all he could. He summoned to him his mightiest warriors and ordered an attack on Azrael's village in jungle. Taken by surprise, Azrael didn't want to believe that his brother had become so corrupt. Galleon came to Azrael's side and together the two gathered their strongest allies.
Soon, all ideas of seperate nations vanished. All men and women that were well enough to walk were sent to one side or the other. I was sent down by my mother to see what had caused all this chaos. I found Azrael in a small camp and joined his forces, believing that if I stuck near him I would surely run into his corrupt twin.
A few weeks passed and the two armies made way for the Holy Plains, where the fated battle began. It really was brother fighting brother, and sons fighting fathers. Mothers, daughters.. Everyone was involved. Somewhere in the middle of the chaos Azrael vanished from our side. Galleon went looking for him, but I didn't trust him. I followed quietly and when I arrived to Azrael, he was gasping for air and dying from a dagger stabbed into heart.
I used all the power I could to save him that night. He neither dies nor lives now, suspended in eternal sleep high in the sky. Galleon and Hkniven found their way out of the tradedy without much trouble. When I caught up to Galleon, I was so angered that I began to fight him for revenge.
Hkniven stopped his fatal blow from hitting him, and took it himself. I was in shock. How could someone so evil give his life for Galleon, a traitor to us all? Hkniven answered my thoughts with his final breath of words, "I believe in him. I believe in my brother's future."
When I returned to Heaven, I told the gods of what happened. They sent out thousands of angels to look for the betrayer, but Galleon's work had already been complete. Galleon died that night in a bloody fire and his soul was sent to hell. However, he had given his protective seal to a woman who held his child in her womb. Outraged at Galleon's still survival, and not wanting to be tricked again, the Empire sent out thousands more to hunt them down.
I had to stop them, and so I did. I begged the unfocused power once put to Azrael and Hkniven to lend me a hand in my idea. With a mighty a crash I broke the worlds.
The world that was so destroyed and the armies of angels, the resting grounds of Azrael's soul and Hkniven's body are trapped in a frozen world called Ancient. Your world is the other half, the half that still has time and still ticks to its doom. Empire is going to allow the two worlds to be reconnected when the last of Galleon's blood, thick or thin, dies."
Kura looked to Rindou slowly. "So... He's meant to die no what way you look at it."
"Sorry..." Kura answered softly.
Rindou shook his head, "Ba'Von. Tell me how to save him."
"WHAT?!"
"Tell me how to save Kura, Azrael, the worlds, and make Hkniven's death not be in vain!" Rindou shouted.
"What are you thinking?" Kura asked in shock.
"I'm going to take out the Empire and set everything straight for the person I love!" Rindou announced with a smile.
