Here, the story actually begins!
[SUMMARY: Man-Shrimp has been alone for many years, all his friends having died or vanished. With no hope left and with no one to eat him, he has been slowly rotting at the bottom of the ocean...]
Okay, so Man-Shrimp was "born" around 1998 and was something of a superhero for about ten years.
In 2008 and 2009, the Man-Animals planned a massive assault on The Squid and failed miserably. During the attack and in the months leading up to it, almost every single Man-Animal was killed in action (or missing).
Also, if no one ever EATS Man-Shrimp, he starts to rot.
At this point, he has not been eaten for many years and is so rotten that he is about to die.
Someone asked "Why can't a fish eat him?"
Good question, but Man-Shrimp is a magical creature. Regular animals will refuse to eat him.
