Shane sat at the edge of the seat looking out the window over his shoulder behind him. He let out a long sigh. "Aah... How long has it been since we left earth?"

He stared out at the stars flickering.

"Space is a lonely place."

"Shane! Shane, Shane!" came a young man's voice and the loud clomps of shoes on the tiles, coming toward Shane's spot.

"Space is a very loud place." Shane grumbled, looking toward the door. "What's up, Mira?"

"Ella's plants have wilted!"

"What?!" Shane shot up. "Let's go!"

Shane ran past the young blond, who turned and dashed after the brunette.
