Shane sighed, sitting at the obersavtory deck again, looking out to the stars.
The generator had turned on, and they were in the process of the 30 minute warp back to earth.
Mira came walking over to Shane quietly. "Uhm..." He shifted nervously next to Shane. "About earlier... When I was crying..."
Shane didn't move at all.
"Thank you for that. You... helped. You know, knowing that you care."
Still no response.
Mira nodded a bit and started to walk away.
"Don't thank me, idiot."
Mira stopped, looking over his shoulder to Shane. "Huh? Did you say something?"
"Don't thank me." Shane repeated louder, instead of grumbling it.
"Why not?" Mira frowned.
"I didn't do anything."
"Yeah you did."
Shane sulked into the chair, his eyes thinning. "Putting my hand on your head is not doing something other than basic movement."
Mira walked over to Shane, leaning down to look at his face. A smile grew onto that blond's face.
Shane hadn't moved or tried to change his eyes from looking straight out to the stars. Instead, on his face, was a pout and a small blush.
There was silence for a good twenty seconds, with Mira grinning happily at Shane.
Finally, Shane had to look to that face. "What?"
"You do care!" Mira sang.
Shane looked straight ahead, his blush getting more red. "I never said I didn't."
Mira smiled, giddy. "Shane~"
"What?"
When Shane looked to Mira the second time, he was surprised to find their noses touching and then their lips.
Shane pulled out of the kiss after a second. He shifted up so his elbows were on his knees and his hands over his face as he leaned over.
"Stop staring at me!"
Mira knelt down next to him, his blond curls on Shane's leg. "It's fine." He smiled, watching Shane keep his face hidden.
Quietly, Mira whispered "It's fine if I'm the only one who knows."
