[SUMMARY: Man-Shrimp, still suffering some strange ailment, is carried into the mountains by Keisuke to visit a Shinto priest. But trouble trails them...]
Here, I believe my experimentation with brush strokes really paid off in giving life and form to the Psyche Demons.
I struggled a little bit with the human form, especially in the first panel. (How DO you draw a shrimp in a basket strapped to a man's back?) But I think everything turned out fairly well.
Though there are five Psyche Demons shown on the bottom half of the page, there are actually only three total, the three who are grouped in the last "panel." Hopefully, you can get a grasp of their distinct character. Their eye colors are slightly different as well.
What are Psyche Demons?
Well, they come from... Elsewhere... and they feed off people's souls, mostly by leeching off of people's pain and suffering.
The result of a freak accident which conjoined shrimp fisherman Les Clay with thousands of netted shrimp, forming them into one unique being, the Delectable Man-Shrimp has long been a champion of the watery world. However, the tides have changed in recent years. An ancient evil has taken hold of the ocean's depths. Man-Shrimp's friends and allies have died or vanished, leaving our diminutive hero to languish at the bottom of the sea. Will he rise up and meet the challenges that lie ahead?
