Loner Boy & Lonely Girl

Ava

Ava

Jan 19, 2020

I soon reached home. As soon as I entered the house I tightly hugged my mom, my mom was surprised a bit but quickly composed herself and hugged me back and asked...

"What happened Chelz?" Said Mom in a giddy tone.

"I don't know which one I should choose.." I said in soft and low tone while I continued to hug her.

I told everything that happened in my mind while I was in both of the school... yes including that boy too.

"Oh so lets clear your thoughts by just pointing down goo and bad things about both the schools"... mom said with a bright smile on her face.

I nodded to her suggestion and then brought a paper and the final result was more like a one-sided victory for the 2nd school.

I was still unsure about it and as my mom noticed it she suddenly said...

"Listen to your brain, not the heart" With a smile on her face...

And when I thought about this weird question for a while... I began to laugh with my mom as well... it was as if the problem I was facing was solved.

You ask how?... just think about it... when you are asked to choose between two things, most likely you pick that thing which you like the most which means you pick a thing which excites your heart the most.

Now that's not a bad thing but when you think about the things with your brain you're more likely to pick an option which may not excite your heart but is a more rational and practically the best option.

"So that's what he meant huh?" I said to my Mom while laughing...

"He doesn't seem a normal guy huh? would be a great friend for you..." Mom said with a cheeky smirk on her face...

All could do was laugh along with her and think that he is certainly not a normal person...

"By the way, hon aren't you forgetting something," mom said indicating something important that I might have forgotten.

Umm...What's she talking about..?

*Chelsea swings her head sideways suggesting a negative remark.*

"You know we had a white thing..."

The moment she said that my face became pale white and a feeling of guilt ran through my heart, how could I've forgotten about her? Without thinking for even a bit I grabbed my coat and ran out of the house to the pet shop to bring Ava back.

For all of those who are confused about this entire situation fear not, I will explain it on the way.

*Chelsea quickly runs outside of her house, while her mom shouts in the back ‘go safely’.*

So Ava is my dog who is a white shepherd and well if you've guessed it right she is very precious to me like very precious. She helped me so much during my most horrible period.

I still remember the day we found her. She was just a puppy when we brought her home. She has the most adorable big blue eyes. I still remember how they met mine when I first saw her and created this indescribable atmosphere which I just couldn't explain in words.

*Midway Chelsea realizes something*

I am running to the pet shop where we kept Ava. It is good that it was close by but I just realized a big problem I made.

*Chelsea goes to the pet shop and as soon as Ava sees Chelsea she jumps on her it almost takes five minutes for Chelsea to calm her down. After that they both head to their way.*

You may think I'm heading home but no, I'm first going to walk her around my whole neighbourhood and then I'm going to take her home. If you have a dog and you have shifted homes you may know why I'm doing this.

It’s because if I don't do this then according to dog psychology Ava will think that she is the dominant one in our relationship and would not listen to anyone. And just behave in an unorderly manner

So by doing this, I'm telling her that I'm the dominant one here and you have to listen to what I say. It also helps the dog to become calm form all the excitement they have built up because of the new place and the new smells they experience. It's something I learned when we first shifted house.

*Chelsea walks Ava around the neighbourhood and brings her home.*

"Hey, Chelz and Hey Ava...."

*Ava jumps on Chelsea’s mom and starts to lick her*

"Haha calm down girl, Honey could you please give our neighbours this gift-"

I did see the house beside ours but I thought that there must be no one living there. I mean it looked pretty deserted when I looked at it. That house reeked of loneliness, to be honest. I wouldn't even be surprised if the house was haunted.

"You know, there is a boy who lives there and he is so sweet too and he even goes to the same high school you will be going to..."

Okay now that is interesting, I mean what are the chances that the boy will be the same one I met there, but I'm curious...

*Chelsea nods *

As soon as I left the house with the gift, I don't know why but the boy I met at the high school came to my mind and a thought started to float around, wouldn't it be the coincidence of century if the boy was the same one I met...

*Knock * *Knock*

How's it, don't think the relationship of Chelsea with her mom is awesome...

Peeps... I'd like to know your favourite dog breeds... like suggestions... I'm stuck with Shiba Inu & german shepherd.

Mom: "He doesn't seem like a normal guy. Would be a great friend for you."
Me: Gee, thanks, Ma!

lol Kidding! ;) This was a really engaging chapter actually. You let your characters breathe, but it did indeed forward the plot. Also it fleshes out Chelsea because we see her interacting with her mom and her dog. A nice, natural interaction.

Also, you're starting to adopt the skill of show, not tell. You didn't come out and tell us all the backstory (a good thing!) but we know that it's Chelsea and her mom - that the dad is either out of the picture, dead, or away so much that he doesn't enter the conversation. And we get all this even though you didn't say a word.

Good job! :D

"Loner is not a lonely"
Leo a loner boy with a tragic past, lives his life like the way he wants, no one talks with him, he doesn't talk with anyone and he thrives on loneliness. With his unique mindset, he has the ability to judge people on their behaviour and tell how human relations work at an instinctual level.

But he's loner life is about to be in a turmoil when he meets a beautiful and hot girl called Chelsea who, with a mindset completely opposite of Leo, with ability, even she has yet to discover but is pulled back by her shortcomings. (she couldn't talk with people lol, she has what we call anthrophobia)

Join this funny journey where a loner teaches a lonely to become social.

PEEPs, yeah that's what I'll call ya. I want to give your honest opinions in the comments and let's play a game where you could talk with my characters as a readerXCharacterOfmybook in the chats lol. It'd be fun...
