But seriously, I know that she may look pretty approachable to you but no one is approaching her and you know why? It's because of the aura she is radiating.
So, I think our classmates are right now in the judgment phase. I have like the best pass to approach her i.e. this 'seat' and due to this I can feel ominous, threatening and murderous gazes from the male part of the class.
Well, as a loner that's the most attention I could ever get so I guess I should enjoy it and tell those extroverts pricks to suck it, but damn it's scary.
Oh, look like our class rep, Blair has finally decided to take upon this chance and introduce herself to Chelsea. I can see her moving towards Chelsea with caution and other classmates are slowly following her but they do keep their distance... I salute you for your bravery class rep.
(For those who don't understand class rep stands for the class representative who is elected by students as in-charge of the class in the absence of the teacher and he/she also has the right to raise any complaints from student to the teacher.)
"Hi Chelsea, I'm Blair, the class representative and nice to meet you." Blair says this with a pretty structured and authoritative manner as every other class representative will.
Due to the sudden introduction, Chelsea startles a bit and suddenly gets up out of nowhere. Pfft... haha the way she stood was just so funny it was like one of those memes where you scare an idle cat and it jumps like a rocket (So what I like cat memes).
Even class rep took a few steps back and it takes a lot of courage to make her do that and trust me when I say that, it is just so funny.
Confused and not knowing what to do, the class rep shakes hands with Chelsea.
Uh, oh, the class rep just did an Oppsie (Guess who says this line?), In this situation, a person always try to avoid any ‘awkward situation’ they face and an awkward silence after, let's just say somewhat of a conversation that took place here, is just a strict no-no.
I mean I understand class rep's situation here. I mean, she is not me but what she could have done was, she could have recollected herself and said that ‘if Chelsea needed any help she could always come to her’ and bim-bada-boom-bada-bam problem solved.
But right now both of them are just holding each other's hand without saying anything. The whole situation is just perplexing to watch.
Oh, I think they are realising that they both held each other's hand for a tad bit too long, so they are awkwardly stepping back to each other.
After calming down Chelsea calms down and looks at me quickly and then starts to say something...
"Hi, I'm Chelsea Cornell and nice to meet you too," Chelsea said with confidence oozing out of her speech. I mean that's a great comeback but there was a bit of problem there. I'll tell you later--
Wait... Did she just look at me? No no, I'm not kidding, she seriously looked at me and said that. Am I daydreaming or what? But I think I'm 70 per cent sure that she looked towards me even though I was lost in thought, I am sure she looked at me or was it just my heart playing games with me?
You must be completely sure that she looked at me and shouting that I should not fluff this chance like last time...
But even if she did look at me what's the best going to happen? What a loner like me is going to do? Stand up out of nowhere and introduce myself to her? Come on be practical it's not like I'm in some manga or light novel (Umm you are, you prick).
At best, I can just acknowledge the 'looking at me thing' and that's it. I'm not some virgin on a quest of getting laid and I do know that what she did was a momentary thing.
You want me to explain, let's say that you are in a completely new environment and you are trying to mix up with everyone. While doing that you see someone you have seen somewhere. Instinctively you will try to get to know that person because he is someone you vaguely know and that's the same thing happening here, once she gets to know me, she would leave me just like-- Opps past is coming up.
"Hey Chelsea I'm Nova"
"I'm Kiara"
"Hey I'm Lia"
Here we go the barrage of names starts, Phew... that saved the situation with Blair or it would have ended pretty badly. Well, it’s a good thing that my classmates are open natured. Once the judgemental phase is over the newcomer is devoured by questions, because they are a curious bunch of hooligans.
Now that I think about it, I didn't get much of barrage when I joined high school. It was more of an ‘oh you exist, huh?’
I mean at that time when everyone was introducing themselves to each other I was back there searching for my loner places. What? You thought window lobby was the only one place I knew... hehe.
I think I pretty much established the ‘I am a loner and don’t approach me’ vibe at that time. Now that I think, someone did come to talk to me, but they talked for a bit and then left and then they were never to be seen again.
"So where did you come from Chelsea?"
"Wait before that which school you went to before?"
"Wait, What shampoo do you use, your hairs are beautiful."
So it starts huh? Well nothing less to be expected, she is a girl, she is beautiful and more importantly, she is new which excites the curiosity of our classmates like a dog in heat. Seriously they are not even giving her a chance to speak. At least it's just girls boys are still waiting for their turn for their question round and WOW! I can already see them combing their hair, adjusting their dress, polishing their shoes and WHAT THE HELL! Justin, where did you get that makeup kit and why are you using a mouth-freshener, you are not going to kiss her, just look at her and look at you, you are dust particle compared to her. What's wrong with the boys in our class, Jesus! They are a bunch of freaks.
Why is she not talking at all? I mean the awkward phase is gone, right? I mean she was pretty calm with me after talking a bit. I do understand that there are many questions all at once, but many of them are one answer type. Does she have some kind of problem?
Our benches are close to each other and her hand is on my bench and it's shivering like crazy.
I just looked up to check, if she was okay, and my doubt was right she is not okay at all. She is huffing, she is breathing heavily, and her face is starting to become blue again ... is she tensed, I mean even the girls asking questions are starting to realize it...
"Umm... Chelsea are you not feeling well?" Said a girl with a concerned face.
"No I- I'm okay". Chelsea says with an obviously fake smile on her face.
"Fine, then." The other girl says with a bright face.
What is this girl doing, you are clearly not feeling well. Why are you not admitting it? Is she scared that her first impression will suffer? Well, she is right but that's not the priority here is it? Whoa! Her hand is shaking more than before. And what with other girls are they not noticing it... Are you all dumb or what??
Well, it is clear that she is ill and still wants to go through with it and I know for sure that whatever the result she is going to regret this decision unless someone helps her.
What? Don't look at me like that, it's not my problem and I have no reason to concern myself over it. Well whatever I do, I know in the end I am going to regret the decision and my brain tells me to stay out of it, so you can shout your lungs out but I ain't gonna intervene and that’s it...
I'm going to go get some fresh air... fuck this.
Shit, I'm going to regret this.
* Leo stands up and everyone near his seat is startled a bit but the very next second they ignore him and Leo goes outside of the class for a while....*
