They arrived at Sam’s apartment and proceeded to the door. MinJoon had grown increasingly more nervous, lagging behind Sam as they approached the door. As soon as Sam knocked the door swung open, revealing Mrs. Sawyer’s beaming face.
“Well hello!” She exclaimed, ushering them inside. MinJoon bowed nervously and shook Mrs. Sawyers hand.
“I’m MinJoon Kim, nice to meet you.” He said with a pale face.
“Yes, let’s sit down and talk.” Said Mrs. sawyer, leading them five steps from the door to the living room. The living room was tiny, just a couch and a old tv. There was one bathroom, and two bedrooms, and a very outdated small kitchen. Sam and MinJoon sat next to each other on the couch Mrs. Sawyer sat in a kitchen chair across from them.
“Firstly, Sam,” She began with a fierce frown, “You had me scared to death. You can’t just go spend the night at a strangers house.” She composed herself and continued. “However, you are an adult now and if you explain how you became to know MinJoon I’ll let it go.”
Sam nodded apologetically.
“Well...actually we met in first grade.” Sam offered. At Mrs. sawyers confused look Minjoon elaborated.
“I saw Sam working at the mall and remembered him. I really admired him and thought he was really cute and special.” Minjoon smiled and put an arm around sam, who’s face burned red. Did Minjoon have to get all mushy in front of his mom?
"Awwww” Miss sawyer smiled, but then turned into a frown. “Okay,” she said sternly, “Now I’m going to talk to you each separately until my husband comes home and we can have dinner. Mr. Kim, you first.” she shooed Sam out of the room.
