Sometimes I still dream of her. Skylar. Sometimes the dreams are all mushy and just us cuddling and her being cute, sometimes it's her yelling at me and me arguing with her. Then there are other times, the more steamy, sexy kind of dreams. Maybe they happen more then I would care to admit but here is the thing about sleepovers. People are actually near you when you sleep, meaning this happened.
In my dream, Skylar was under me as I began to make love to her. She would kiss me and hold me and tell me she loved me. Her moans would ring in my ears and cause me to moan. In reality...
"Darleen." Someone pushed me away.
"Mmm, more." I moaned.
Faint snickering interrupted my dream.
"Darleen!"
My dream faded away yet I still felt warm all over and that I was making love to someone.
"Help me get her off!"
My head finally registered that the voice belongs to Mackenzie. I opened my eyes and let my surroundings come into view. I was clung tightly to Mackenzie who was red as a tomato, in my dream haze I was still dry humping her.
"Morning... would you mind letting go of my boob?" she asked.
Out of reflex, I squeezed my hand and in turn, squeezed her breast. She closed her eyes shut tight and cringed as the redness in her face spread to her neck. I could hear Aphrodite giggling. It took my brain three whole seconds to process everything.
"Ah!" I yelped and jumped back.
Mackenzie sat up and gave me the stink eye.
"I'm sorry! Oh my god, I am so sorry. I didn't mean to, I was just, and you, and oh my god." I felt my own face get really red.
Aphrodite burst into laughter and only then did I notice she had her phone out and recorded the whole thing.
"Delete that!" I tackled her to the floor.
"No way. This is blackmail." She laughed.
"Delete it!"
We wrestled around on the floor for the phone.
"You guys!" I complained when Aphrodite had won out.
"So what exactly were you dreaming about? I think I deserve to know since I was woken up by someone molesting me." Mackenzie crossed her arms.
"I am so sorry Kenzie, really I am. God that's so embarrassing. I was just dreaming... of things..." I avoided her gaze.
"Things?"
"You know..."
"I think we do." Aphrodite giggled.
"I am going to kill you." I glared at her.
There was a knock on the front door followed by the sound of the doorbell. I got up and marched downstairs towards it. The house was a disaster. Pillows and feather everywhere not to mention we got into a silly string war and had a mini food fight. Before taking a bubble bath and flooding the hall with bubbles, which meant everything was soggy and smelled like a sea breeze bubble bath bomb.
I walked over to the door and cracked it.
"Hello." My aunt smiled at me.
"Aunt Matilda w-what are you doing here?"
"Checking up on you, as I promised your parents I would. Aren't you going to let me in?"
I looked behind me and cringed before turning back to her.
"Uh... maybe another time?"
She raised an eyebrow at me.
I sighed and opened the door letting her in.
"What in the world happened here?" she gasped at the mess.
"I had a couple of friends stay over last night." I quickly closed the door.
"Are you sure you didn't have the whole school?" she eyed the mess.
"Hehe." I rubbed the back of my neck.
"Darleen this place is a disaster."
"Who was it?" Mackenzie and Aphrodite come to look.
"Oooh." Aphrodite blushes at seeing my aunt.
"We'll clean up, promise. There you checked on me, you can go now." I pushed her towards the door.
"You should know better young lady." She chastised me.
I sighed and rolled my eyes when she wasn't looking.
Aunt Matilda is always getting into my business. I think it's because I am her favorite niece and she is my only aunt that doesn't have kids of her own to spoil so she is constantly nagging me. inserting her two cents where they don't belong. Ever since we got into that argument about Skylar a while back we haven't been the same. Once I broke with Skylar, she started coming around again. Unfortunately.
"Yeah okay, I'll clean up. We were just having fun."
"Your parent's trust that you will be a responsible adult when they are gone, what do you think they would do if they saw this?" she crossed her arms.
"I don't know." I shrugged.
Truthfully I didn't I hardly ever see my parents to know how they would react to something like this. They always just let me do whatever the hell I want so long as I am at every family meeting and that I am making good grades in school. Other than that, they don't care.
She eyed me.
Maybe not even she knew how they would react.
"Can you go now?" I complained.
She looked hurt, but I didn't really care. She burned her bridge with me and I wasn't about to let her repair it so easily. Even if she did bring Aphrodite back into my life. She still said unforgivable things about Skylar that I will never forget.
"Fine, clean up this mess." She snapped at me before leaving and slamming the door on her way out.
I rolled my eyes again before locking the door and walking back over to my friends.
"So, who's hungry?" I ask.
"Everything okay? I can help clean up." Mackenzie looked at me in concern.
"It's just my stupid aunt. We're fine." I shrugged.
"Oh... okay."
"I'm starving." Aphrodite skipped down the stairs and over to me.
"Then I shall make breakfast." I smiled.
"Emm, just like last time?"
My face went red. She giggled and skipped off towards the kitchen.
"What's that about?" Mackenzie walked over to me.
"Nothing," I said too quickly.
She raised an eyebrow but didn't comment on it and walked towards the kitchen.
As I was cooking Aphrodite came up behind me and wrapped herself around me.
"You are going to make me burn myself." I sighed.
"You know, if you are still feeling all hot and bothered from this morning, I can help you take care of that later. When we are alone." She whispered in my ear.
I felt a shiver go down my spine and my face turn hot.
"I told you we were done with that." I flipped the pancake in the pan.
"It doesn't have to mean anything if you don't want it to." She slowly trailed her hands down my chest to my hips and then to the front of my pajama shorts.
I took in a sharp breath.
"I know you want to..." she softly kissed my ear.
"How's the food coming along?" Mackenzie walked in to check on us.
Aphrodite quickly withdrew herself from me and I straightened out my posture. We looked suspicious.
"Mmm yep, it's almost done, just a little longer," I said without turning to look at her.
"Okay..." she dragged out the word.
"Maybe we should clean up a bit while Darleen cooks." Aphrodite cleared her throat.
"Sure." With that, the two walked out and left me alone.
I sighed in relief.
That is until my phone rang.
I picked it up off the counter and eyed the caller I.D., Skylar. My heart skipped several beats before I answered it and stuck the phone between my shoulder and my ear as I finished cooking.
There was a moment of silence.
"Morning." I broke it.
"Morning," Skylar said.
"So..."
"Okay I know Jade told me not to talk to you and I am sure she said some things to you as well, but... I just feel like we need to work things out. Work out what happened back there. Without Jade getting in your face every few seconds. I've just... I've been thinking about it this whole time. I would have talked to you yesterday but Jade was being Jade. Do you think... Maybe we could talk?"
"Yeah, of course. I would love that. I mean like that. I would like that. I'm just uh... cooking breakfast, but I could you know, go get you... maybe we could go out for breakfast?"
I turned off the burner.
"I promised Jade I'd let her make me breakfast today. Maybe lunch?"
"Yeah lunch, sounds like a date. I mean not like a date, but just two people going to get lunch." I facepalmed, not that she could see.
She giggled.
I felt all tingly inside.
It made me smile.
"So you're not mad at me then?" I said.
"No. like I could ever stay mad at you. I just think we need to sit down and talk things out. Don't kiss me like that okay, it was very surprising and you know how I feel about surprises."
"I couldn't help myself. When I look into your eyes..."
She sighed.
"You kissed me back." I pointed out.
"Goodbye Darleen, we will talk later." I could picture her rolling her eyes with a smile on her face.
"Bye wifey." I bit my lip.
With that, she hung up.
"Yes!" I giggled and held the phone close to my chest.
Mackenzie and Aphrodite clearing their throat jolted me back down to reality.
"Oh, hey... foods ready." I rubbed the back of my neck.
"Who was that?" Aphrodite crossed her arms.
"Obviously Skylar, I always hated that pet name." Mackenzie made a face.
"Well I love it and Skylar does too." I smile just thinking about seeing her again, without Jade to get in the way.
"When are you going to get over her, she doesn't like you anymore." Aphrodite spat.
