"I need some fresh air." I get up and walk outside.

I walk to the side of the building and just breath, trying to collect myself. Skylar follows me.

"Darleen, I want us to be friends, but if you can't be that. Tell me now." She says.

I turn to her. She looks worried. Those sky blue eyes sparkle at me.

"You've left a hole in me." I say.

"You broke up with me." she points out.

"I regret it every day."

"Well, it's too late now."

I shake my head no. I don't want it to be too late. Not now, not ever. I love her.

She sighs and walks over to me and hugs me.

"I'm sorry." She says.

This makes me laugh, why the hell is she sorry?

"You have nothing to be sorry for." I wipe my tears.

"I don't want to hurt you. Watching you hurt, hurts me too." She said through tears.

I wipe the tears from her cheek. She leans into my touch. I lean in slowly and our lips brush against each other before she pulls away.

"No Darleen," she says softly.

I wince in pain and look away from her.

"Come on, let's go eat." She grabs my hand.

I hold her in place.

She sighs and lets me.

Then I pull her into my arms and bury my face into her neck. I breathe her in and hold her tight. She lets me. A sob escapes but not from my lips, from hers. I let go and look at her. She is hurting too, just like me.

I can't take it. I grab her face and kiss her. She quickly kisses back. I slam her against the wall of the restaurant and kiss her again and again. She wrings her hands around my neck her lips colliding over and over with mine.

I grab her by her hips and set her on my leg. Then I wrap my arms around her and pull her even closer.

"Mmm." I moan into her mouth.

"nnuh..." She lets out a cute mew.

"I love you." I kiss down her neck to her collar bone and bite down.

Her weak spot.

"Uh!" she lets out a moan.

A shiver runs down my spine.

She snaps out of it and tries to push me off but I pin her hands to the wall with my own. We are both breathing heavily.

"I need you," I whisper against her lips.

She turns her head away and pushes against my hands.

"Let me go." She says.

"I don't want to."

"You have to."

"I can't."

"You have to."

I whimper and slowly let go.

She gets away from me and nearly doubles over, wrapping her arms tightly around herself.

She is visibly shaking, but not because she loves me, but because she loves Jade and she is afraid of what Jade will do once she finds out. She lets out a small cry before walking off.

"Skylar," I call after her.

"No. Just... stay away from me." she walks off.

I watch her pull out her phone and call someone to come and get her. I go back inside the restaurant and get the food to go before paying. I then drive to Skylar's house and get there just as her mom pulls into the driveway with Skylar in tow.

"Skylar please." I quickly get out of the car, food in tow.

"No Darleen." She whimpered.

"Please, give me another chance." I walk over to her and hand her the food, rubbing her shoulders.

"No." Skylar shakes her head.

"I know you still love me, I can feel it."

"I'm confused. I don't know what I want." She whimpers.

Her mom clears her throat.

"Skylar come inside." She said.

Skylar pulls away from me.

"Skylar please." I quickly follow after her.

"I can't!" she cries out.

"You can."

"I can't do that to her. I love her."

"I love you."

She looks at me then, really looks at me. Her eyes digging into me as if she is seeing the real me hidden deep inside. There is conflict on her face, I can tell she really doesn't know what to do.

I take a step closer to her.

She takes a step closer to me.

"Say it, say you love me too." I plead.

She opens her mouth and then closes it again.

"Skylar," her mom calls from the doorway.

She takes a step back, I catch her wrist before she can escape.

"Say it."

She shakes her head no.

"You kissed me back," I say softly.

"You cheated on me." with that she pulls free and runs into her house.

"Skylar!" I run after her but her mom shuts the door in my face.

I bang my head on the door.

"What did you do to her." Her voice is the last thing I want to hear but it's venom and malice make me turn around to face her.

Jade eyed me her arms crossed, she looked pissed.

I hate her.

"Nothing." I say.

No use in getting her all worked up now. Skylar hates me.

She narrows her eyes.

How could Skylar ever love someone like her? I'll never understand it.

"Stay away from her, last warning." She growled.

I eye her, I want to say or what? Jade is not exactly an intimidating person to me. But the fight in me seems to have gone out. I feel deflated, hopeless, ruined. I let my head hang low in defeat and shove my hands in my pockets.

"Okay." I say.

Jade eyes me in confusion, she had been expecting me to come back at her.

I hold in my tears, I don't want her to see me cry, and I push past her to get to my car.

"Jade," I call over my shoulder.

"What?" she snaps.

"Just... treat her right okay. She really loves you." My voice shook without my permission and I had to clear my throat to get control of myself. With that, I got in my car and left.
