Jasper did not know how to drive all that well, he learned this from watching his parents and video games. He learned to hot wire from his friends Jackson who currently resides in jail for theft, no kidding. Anyhow, with this knowledge Jasper and I had switched places. I brought the girl to the front, there were multiple seats so I thought this would work. She looked like she was up front for the first time.

“So, who are you?-” I tried to ask, but as soon as Emma realized I had brought her she freaked out because this girl was with that man.

“Kristen what is wrong with you? She was with that man, I heard their conversation she was supposed to kill you!” She yelled at me.

“And you” She looked at the girl. “Were you planning on killing us? What are your goals?” I have never seen Emma take initiative, it was nice knowing she had left her shell a bit. I was also worried because she mentioned the girl having a mother. “Where is your mother? I saw her next to you.” I thought that was schizophrenia. I turned my attention to the girl, while asking Emma to stop yelling.

“Emma your intentions are good but please stop yelling.” I asked calmly, Emma reluctantly did so. “Thank you”

“Hey, what is your name?” I asked the girl, she looked at me like she was in a daze. “Ok...how old are you?” I guess something sparked and she silently put up ten fingers, then two.

“Twelve?” I asked, she nodded. Taking a closer look she was a small girl, maybe 5’4, she had long blonde hair and gray eyes. She had very pale skin and her tongue was cut. I assume she’s mute, and that man was not family.

“Is there paper here?” I asked Emma and Jasper, they started looking. Jasper found a pen and Emma found a huge notebook. After looking through the notebook was mostly empty and the pen still worked. They gave the girl both, confused.

“Ok, you know how to write don’t you?” She wrote “yes”.

“OK, are you mute?” She didn’t understand and wrote “mute?”. I elaborated.

“Can you talk?” she wrote “no”.

“Did that man make you this way?” She wrote “yes”. With every question I asked Emma and Jasper’s confusion slowly but steadily went away, and that bad feeling you get when bad stuff happens came. Emma started apologizing continuously, the girl couldn’t write fast enough to seize her.

“Emma it’s alright, What is your name?” She wrote “Ellysa.”

“Ok, Ellysa? Who was that man?” She wrote “uncle”.

At this point I had an idea of what happened. Uncle and her were the ones not frozen, uncle kidnapped her for some reasons I don't even want to think of and to silence her he cut her tongue up so she couldn’t make much noise. It hit all of us that the knowledge of very bad people like that being awake was indeed real. 

“Wanna come with us?” She looked at me very surprised, as if she thought she would be alone. She then wrote “realy?” The excitement made her misspell I assume. “If you want to I don’t see why not, either of you object?” I turned around and asked Emma and Jasper, neither disagreed. She wrote “Yes”. It was very scribbled but we got the message.

Today was a very tiresome day of running and almost dying but in the end we got a Jeep Wrangler and a new friend.

“So, next is the city right?” Jasper asked with excitement.

“”Oh, yea. The city we go.” I responded. I had forgotten about the city but with Jasper’s reminder I turned the Jeep around and headed towards the city.
