Stalking the city sidelines by the forest, the chaos calmed ever so slightly. I suggested we move in while having this peace. Everyone reluctantly obeyed my suggestion.

We made it down the road leaving the Jeep behind in the woods covered in branches so it would not be stolen. When we finally got out of the range of the woods and on the city line, finally crossed.

As we entered the city we saw many broken into cars moving and non-moving. Graffiti was in many places mostly on people who were just walking or something. I’ve seen many fucked up things as well, true sickos were awake. I’ve seen people in alleyways naked and….well let’s say fucked up and left. A sight I truly never wish to see again. With this sight I decided more into protecting Emma Jasper and now Ellysa.

On another note, my experiment from earlier was given more evidence. Some people were sitting in the cars, foot on gas pedal. Yet the car hadn’t been moving. So I thought since they are also frozen they cannot return time. To further explore this theory I touched a car and it immediately was sent flying into the car in front of it. No effects from normal crashes happened, they basically bumped into each other no breakage. The glass was fine, the metal was fine, everything was ok. This answered some questions but definitely opened up more. Like why do frozen people refreeze unfrozen objects? Why are they frozen in the first place? Why am I not frozen?

While being lost in my head Ellysa awoke me from it with a tap on my shoulder and a note saying “Why did u do that?”. She started writing better sentences still using abbreviations from text and some aspects from actual sentences, I think this means she is more comfortable with us.

“I was experimenting something” I responded, which led Emma to say

“You have been doing weird stuff lately, is there a reason?”

“Yeah, my experiments.” I responded

“Wanna share your findings?” Were the first words Jasper had spoken since reminding me of the city.

“If that is what you guys want” I said proceeding to tell them all my findings. From my gravity experiments to frozen experiments I gave them it all. To my surprise they took it well, I was expecting some type of reaction but they just accepted it.

“So that's how it is huh?” Jasper replied first. “I cannot answer those questions either but they are valid concerns”

“I’m surprised you are speaking like that Jasper, unexpected.” I said, he shrugged off his speech at that moment. “Anyways, I didn’t expect you guys to be able to. It’s understandable but our situation isn’t something any of us have experienced before. Let’s just focus on how to survive, I’m sure this will blow over at some point or more will unfreeze.”

After saying these words we ventured off to find a suitable place to rest for a while. We found ourselves in an older hotel which seemed abandoned, seemed like the best place for this kind of thing. We went in, unpacked our stuff we carried or in other words our snacks and appointed roles.

“If we are really going to try and survive we need roles.” Jasper shouted, he seemed excited.

“What do you mean?” Emma responded.

“No no he has a point, Jasper you have had a lot of good ideas so far.” I sharply cut into the conversation.

“What? Is this a boy thing or something?” Emma responded confused.

“I see the appeal” Ellysa wrote down.

“You’re writing is getting better El.” Jasper said.

“El?” She wrote.

“Yeah, why not.” Jasper said, “All of us have nicknames and your one of us now.”

“Kristen is Kris, Emma is Em, and I'm Jas, your El.”

Ellysa’s face shined with happiness as she realized she is.
