who am i
when i cant recall my own face;
nameless;
voices closing in around us
like a cacophony of birds
calling out monikers of
strangers,
words in red and green and black.
but who am i
when i cant recall my own head
and the world closes in like
shadows,
ocean spilling down throats,
fire bursting hearts,
ice frosting eyes,
words cutting tongues.
who
am
i
when i wake from sleep and
my voice
is
gone
