It's already been my third day at school, and I find it strange that people are giving me dirty looks. I hear the quiet words rapidly coming out of their lips. I hear their sneers and disgust grinding through their teeth as I am walking down the hallways with Maison, our hands interlocked. Their hateful gazes piercing the back of my skull, feeling their hatred and remorse through their whispers, each and every student of this school does not like the fact I'm back. He grips my hand tightly. I look up to see him, reassuring me through his sweet smile. I find the atmosphere suspicious and strange from the student body's actions, but with Maison. I feel safe. I don't understand what's with all the hostility but thinking about this, makes me feel guilty. I brushed off the nonsense urge to doubt and walked towards my locker. When I finished collecting my text books, I closed the locker door and turned around. I sighed heavily. I thought I would have friends... but I guess not. Was I alone like this before the accident? Did I truly have no friends? Why am I being isolated, was I considered an awful person? As I give off the expression of sadness, Maison cautiously moves towards me. He approaches me and I feel the heat of his breath on my forehead. He proceeds to slowly press his lips on my forehead. I was a little surprised. But then I gently touch that area and I smile, feeling very bubbly towards his cute action. He seemed very embarrassed at first and pulled away. But then he quickly changes to a calm expression and ruffles my hair.
"You will be fine, Just be yourself. Everyone is just surprised that you're alive. You came back from the dead, Val!" He chuckles and then forms a smirk. Then he pokes the spot on my forehead where he kissed me and then flicks it. I react by squinting my eyes and rubbing my forehead. I stare into his eyes with confusion.
"Don't be down, My Little Princess of the Dead. I just cast a spell on you. No worries, no frowns, I will always be near to protect you. I am your Knight, The Fool." He says jokingly, portraying himself in a childish manner.
Then he lifts up my hand and kisses it gently. He stares deeply into my eyes but then I burst out into laughter and then he begins to laugh with me.
"That was ridiculously cheesy but sweet." I giggle and then I smile embarrassingly. I love how he called me Princess of the Dead... I started to play along with him, I reached for his neck and pulled his ear closer towards my lips and whispers into his ear. "My Foolish Knight, thank you for the protection spell but may you please stop treating me so distant... I am truly yours, truly as you will always be mine. " I don't care if the students in school watch us role play, I find it quite cute how he started this. I slowly let go of his neck and looked to see his face beet red. I can't help but torture him in a way. When I first met him at his work, I thought he was a flirt... but I guess not. I felt the presence of his eyes calling out to me, I faced him and I saw him gazing upon me. I shivered with pleasure, the way he looked at me wasn't scary but alluring. He positioned his eyes to make deep eye contact with me. I was in his embrace, face to face. I could feel his body heat near me. I wanted him... My face started to heat up and my pulse started to race. But then he abruptly stops and gives me a gentle smile as he slowly pulls away. He placed his hand on my shoulder, and while he walked away from me. He leans in close to my ear and he whispers to me.
"I find it cute, when you think you're in charge. My Little Princess of the Dead." He left me in a daze. I see him walk further away from me as he heads to class.
From the spot I stood from, I felt like I was going to drop. I did not know, Maison could react in that kind of way. My heart couldn't stop beating, I didn't want to pull away from his gaze. His eyes enticed my thoughts. I wanted him and he wanted me... I quickly snapped out of it and came back to my senses. I have class to attend to. I ignored the crowd who were keeping their eyes on my every move and I quickly rushed to class, but the thoughts didn't leave me...
