My stay at home vacation had been cut short as an emergency has surfaced and everyone that has gone (in my case, forced) on vacation had been called immediately. Myself has been called by The Head Of The Defense Department himself and had asked me to come in. He also apologized for the inconvenience, he even sent me a very large sum of cash due to the fact I have been working from home and I've been backed up with all sorts of orders that if I were to come in, I'll be in a very bad financial bind. He knew this and had told me to invoice him all the profit that I would be forfeiting; to which the invoice will pretty steep. The financial department had backed him on his promise by sending me an email stating this as well as The Head Of The Defense Department.
I ate a breakfast croissant and ran out of the door. I'm wearing a sky blue Fog-moon and Crown series Chiffon Elegance Classic Lolita Long Sleeve Shirt, sky blue fitted bell bottom ruffle pants with cloud white bordering, gold belt, thick material half-calf high socks and dark blue ankle boots with bows on the sides, a meteor jellyfish bowknot pearl light blue shoulder bag, a white cloak with blue ruffles around my shoulders, dangling butterfly earrings, blue chrome nails, white makeup upon my face, my hair in a half ponytail with a bowknot hairpin that seems to be that of the changing blue of the sky with a seven pointed shaped crystal rhinestone on the center and a rose shaped ring made of pure silver. I haven't worn these boots as they are freshly made.
I go to the College on my hover-board that also doubles as a stereo, the board is black and the lights as well as the music notes that come off of the board is blue. Kilo on the other hand has almost completely vanished until he waved me goodbye when I got the call.
Strange? Yes. But I thought nothing of it as I fly to the college.
When I arrive at the school, I am met with Caesar who's waving at me with the biggest smile on his face with his fiancee Nina. Who shares his large smile. This ought to be good, I thought as I hop off my hover board, it becomes a small cute charm of a electric music note with the booster of the hover board. As soon as I hit concrete, I was lifted into the air in a tight bear hug. "I take it the party went well?" I ask,
"Crystallia, you are an absolute genius!" Caesar cheers as he spins me around in absolute joy, "an absolute genius!"
"You absolute mastermind." Nina praises as a smile is nice, wide and shining.
"You have gotten those bastards to shut the fuck up and drop their jaws through the floor at the same time! You are a genius!" Caesar cheers as I just stomach the twirling.
"You wanted premium packaging and shipping. You know I don't fuck around with that." I say as he finally puts me down and giving a knowing wink at the two with a coy smile.
We walk into the courtyard, we continue to chat; I'm noting that they aren't wearing the outfits that they have commissioned me to make, they're still laughing as they explain that it's for the next party that's been postponed due to the emergency. We all went our separate ways. Needing to go different places before heading to the meeting room.
The Head of Discipline looks at me as I summon my hover board and begin to fly to where I need to go, he always turned a blind eye to me as he's a stickler for the rules of campus and no one can really stand up to him, not even The Fiery Princess Nina can go against him. The fact that he turns a blind eye to me when I break the rules, kinda says something. I had to go to The Health Department as I had to turn in my health journal. As that's the first thing I do when an assignment is given to me, go to the department that it is involved. I go to the Health Department and to see the head of the department with his husband, The Head Of The Defense Department. I walk to them and I look to the man in the wheelchair (Defense), "Professor Victor Sin." I nod to the man who in turn nods to me, I turn to his husband (Health) standing next to him, "Professor Wallis Sin." both married men couldn't be more different but threaten either one, you will meet hell's fury.
Victor Sin, a handsome older man who's long dark brown hair holds solid streaks of gray slicked back just brushing past his shoulders, his aged gray skin mistaking him for something younger when he is very much old. He's dressed in an aristocrat goth three piece suit of black and gold with matching elegant boots (he wouldn't be caught dead in loafers...he's got an undying hatred of those shoes), a golden rose upon his left breast, his dark blue eyes glaring scorch marks upon the screen that could be mistaken for the sun's flames, his wheelchair outfitted with the best medical equipment but looks almost minimal, fancy black too. He doesn't have his mask on so his whole face is visible, an electric gold mark upon his cheeks. His beautiful black pearl wedding band upon his left hand with a green geode crystal heart in the center.
His husband Wallis Sin, looks far younger than Victor but I assure you they are around the same age, beautiful pale-ivory skin, sea green hair that is against his upper thighs in a ponytail braid A symmetrical his bangs a large bit of his bangs over his right eye (he's 6'11), his blazing emerald eyes also glaring flames at the screen, dressed in an elegant white suit with royal violet accents, a gold rose upon his left breast, white dress shoes with violet, gold and black accents, pearl earrings, sea foam green oval framed glasses upon his face, his green green geode crystal wedding band with a black pearl heart in the very center.
They both look at me, the anger in their eyes immediately set aside and give me a smile with kind eyes, "hello dearie." Wallis say calmly to me and Victor nods to me, "I take it you have your health log with you?" Victor asks, his voice hoarse, he is a sickly man. It's too bad that 'accident' has permanently disabled and even with Wallis expertise (the man is god's gift to the medicine world) he couldn't fully save his voice. He's lucky that he managed to save his husband. Wallis is still pissed about it and he's been married to Victor for decades now. Victor has learned to live with it and has become one of the scariest Hybrids around as he's got more health problems than a fragile 98 year old man battling cancer and he came out not just on top but a weapon of mass destruction if you piss him off. He's gone through heaven, hell and purgatory to be with his husband. No amount of difficulty not even his own health is going to stop him. The LGBTQ+ Hybrids go to Wallis for advice and to Victor for protection as Victor is not above throwing punches to anyone that dares threaten those that go to him for help. These two are the definition of a power couple and if anyone and I mean ANYONE goes to them for help, they'll move earth and skies to help.
Especially when family is involved.
Those two are horrifying when dealing with family. If they are un-accepting or just straight hateful, they are in for a world of hurt.
I pull out the rod and hand it to them but Victor waves his hands, he held up a pastel ring, "something for the bugs." he explains and he hands it to me, I put it onto the rod and within moments it had been absorbed into the rod. "Thanks." I answer and I put it back in my back pocket. Victor then gives me a box, "to make the project a little more bearable," Victor said with a wink. I just laugh as I open it up. It's a beautiful complete pastel pink jewelry set, the same as my health journal. The same color scheme as my health journal and the colored ink I use (stored in the stylus pen). I burst out laughing as I know what the hell this jewelry is for, it's to track what I'm eating and what I'm doing. The only jewelry I put on were the bracelets as I am still wearing my cloak, the one of the bracelets is a beautiful wristband with a butterfly with a heart in the middle, the wings being pastel yellow in the center, the gemstone being federal blue in color. While the other bracelets are thick bangles.
I sealed the box and place it into my purse as it had reconfigured itself for the now no longer holds some of it's contents. Now adorned with my new accessories, I pull out my health journal and connect it to my bracelets, now activating it's syncing process. It only takes a few seconds but holographic bunnies are hopping around my arms with butterflies fluttering around, once finished syncing with the bracelets, I put it back into my purse and is now syncing with the jewelry box and the jewelry inside. The bracelets are active and is faintly glowing. The bracelets have pricked into my wrists to take some of my blood for testing and to keep up with my health.
Once I finish with The Health Department. I fly through the halls as I have summoned my hover board as soon as I was out of The Health Department. I give a small smile as I fly through the halls. Hover boarding has always been a source of therapy for me and a means of peace. No one is going to rob me of it. I have multiple other rides but my hover board is what I'm the most known for and safest to be around as if I were on my bike, expect someone to get run over as they were either stupid or assholes and I will not be merciful if I were to ride a bike as I don't intend to waste time. I'm also feared in vehicular combat. As I have no time for idiots.
I manage to make it to the assembly. I hop off my board and it morphed into a charm. I put the charm into my pocket and stand next to Lumin. "What did I miss?" I ask Lumin who greets me with a smile. A 6'2 (he told me that he was originally 5'3), slender but muscular male with rich deep brown hair messily styled but it works for him and glowing honey hazel eyes, dressed in a graphic t-shirt, leather hoodie, black faded jeans with wallet belt chain, sneakers and reflective blue and black headphones around his neck. I smile at Lumin as he is a handsome man but his self confidence is through the floor. "Not much...there was an argument amongst the Headmaster and Bro about how to get you into taking a thing called vacations willingly." He explains, bro is what he calls Caesar. I just chuckle, "the only way that'll happen is when world peace has been achieved and The Land of The Free actually lives up to it's title." I chuckle and he chuckles too, he knows that's never going to happen.
Then Headmaster Horatius began to speak, "As you all know. Ever since our existence and mission has been revealed to the world. We had to do what we can in order to remain in the good spirits of our fully human counterparts." he announced, we all nod grimly as we didn't want to reveal everything to them as they'll try and twist it to fill their own agenda. It's what they do. Lumin knows this first hand as he works in multiple jobs that requires customer service. I can see him shudder as does Jo (who works with him at one of his jobs) and Caesar (he wanted to see just how bad it is...and lived to regret it), the two other boys look at Lumin with a whole new type of respect as they would've lost their cool at one point while Lumin remained composed throughout the entire shift. Caesar transfers Lumin at least $50K every other week. He even made Lumin a beneficiary growth account ever since that single shift. It was Jo's idea about making the beneficiary account also act as a growth account. It doesn't help that Jo works in a different department in the school instead of outside of school like Lumin is doing. I have been begging Lumin to open up a dessert shop, but he's always refused. Saying that it wouldn't take off, which is bullshit as his desserts are the fucking bomb and I would raid the place regularly. "So we have come to a consensus on all sides." he says, I look at Headmaster Horatius with a cocked brow. Everyone in attendances is having the same thought I'm having, Oh OH, this I got to hear, with a small smirk on our collective faces. "I know you all have doubts about this. All valid doubts I might add." he continues as Jo is seconds from breaking his infamous poker face and cool (almost robotic) composure to roll on the floor as he's collapsed and has no strength left due to the fact he's laughing so hard that tears are just streaming down his face like a river. It's taking everything within Caesar not to scoff and Nina not to roll her eyes so hard that she could see her genetic code. "We're going to host a festival." Headmaster Horatius announces, we wait silently for context. "An adoption festival for all the stray, abandoned and other kinds of conditions that these poor, poor creatures have gone through. And to give them all the proper homes that these little angels deserve." He explains. Everyone erupts in cheers.
Except for me.
I am trying my damnedest not to burst into tears.
"And all of us are going to take equal part of this festival." He continues, "all branches are coming here to participate." Headmaster Horatius looks directly at me, "including the entirety of The Japanese Branch." the cheers stop dead cold as they look at me. They know I have bad blood with them. And for good reason. I give a deep exhale, "As long as they don't do anything stupid, bother me or piss me the hell off. They will live to see tomorrow." I explain calmly, my voice echoing throughout the halls. Horatius moves his arm to the side, showing a holographic screen appearing to his side, "what would happen if I said ALL of them are showing up?" Even I know that not the entirety of the branch will not arrive. "Keep Fuma far, far away from me." I growl, his face appears on the screen and I throw a store bought pocket folding knife at the screen. Causing his face to glitch madly. "That's fair." EDEN says as she returns my knife and makes the screen vanish...off to be repaired undoubtedly. I openly glare at Aoi and Yumi, whom are in attendance, "you two planned this." I growl. Lumin holds onto my arm before I could rip them in half, "Yeah, it was their idea. But you have to admit. It'll be great for the other animals that are sitting in shelters and possibly on the kill list." Lumin pleads. I stop and give a look to him, "and they want me to have a 'replacement' for Aang so that I can forgive Kai and Fuma for what they've done," I point out, "That'll most likely be a bonus." Lumin guessed. I force my calm myself down and look to the headmaster, "what's our roles?" I ask. I then feel a large sense of dread.
Something bad is going to happen. And it'll be soon. How bad?
Incredibly bad. Almost disastrously bad. If not straight up catastrophic or apocalyptic. Whichever comes first.
