It's stressful being the only child of two millionaires. My dad is the owner of several golf courses and hotels, both in the states and internationally. My mom is a famous travel writer. She has several books published and has her own blog and has even been on the radio and tv talk shows a few times. Together they use their connections to travel the world, leaving me, their daughter, behind.

They usually come home once a month to pay bills, check on things, spend time with me. Sometimes they stay for a few weeks, sometimes it's only a few days. There is one good thing to having rich parents who are hardly ever home.

No supervision.

I woke up around 6ish from my nap, with Aphrodite already up and watching Tv. She was laying on her stomach and kicking her legs in the air. The Tv was on really low and her eyes were glued to the screen as she watched some nature documentary.

"What are you watching?" I smirked and laid next to her.

"Hello sleeping beauty, did you know Orca whales are actually part of the dolphin family."

"No, I did not know that." I stared at the Tv.

"Now you do."

"Weird, but then why are they called whales?"

"Who knows?"

I stared at the screen as divers got some underwater shots of whales. Then she turned the tv off.

"Hey," I complained.

"Let's do something stupid." She said.

"I'm listening." I turned to face her.

"Well I'm bored and we are two teenagers with tons of money and nothing to do. So..."

"So?"

"Let's do something stupid. Like go on a jet plane, or go deep-sea fishing, or take a helicopter ride."

"Okay, you have officially lost your mind. We would get in so much trouble."

"Exactly, come on our parents aren't here to tell us no. I'm sure there is some sports game going on, we can get box seats too. Or some 21 and over club we can buy our way into. I bet we could rent out some hot rod car and take it for a thrill ride."

I smirked at her, she smiled back.

"Okay, so which one are we doing?"

"Let's take a private jet to Florida and skip school for a few days, stay at Disney resort and go to Disney world like every day."

"Hell yeah, now that sounds fun."

"So are we doing it?"

"Why not? I'll pack a bag for a week."

"Cool, maybe we should invite Mackenzie."

"Her mom would kill her, plus I kinda thought you wanted this to be a, you and me thing."

"Won't that be awkward? I mean you know how I feel about you, wouldn't it be better if there were three of us?"

"Point taken, I'll call her. Go pack a bag and meet me back here."

She smiled and kissed me on the cheek before leaving.

I called Kenzie.

"Hello?"

"Hey, question. How much trouble would you get in if you ditched school for like a whole week?"

"Uh yeah, I'd have to plan what I would wear to my own funeral."

"Thought so, want to do it anyway?"

"Depends."

"Aphrodite and I are feeling crazy so we are going to take a private jet to Disney world and stay there all week. I'm talking all-expense-paid access to the happiest place on earth, so you in?"

The line was silent for a moment.

"Mackenzie?"

"That sounds amazing, but I can't. My mom would so call the cops on us. She's not cool like that. I would get you guys in trouble."

"Better to ask for forgiveness than permission. Plus, with all the drama and heartache I could use a little fun. Please, for me. It will be so awkward if it's just Aphrodite and me. Please, please, please."

"I can't I'm talking she would call in the swat team. It would be a whole thing."

"You know you want to."

"Fine! But if I get in trouble you are so going down with me."

"Deal."

"So what should I pack?"

"Pack whatever we are going to be gone a week. I'll be there to pick you up in a couple of hours, be ready to sneak out."

"This is crazy."

"Be ready." I hung up on her.

Then I quickly booked a private jet very last second and booked rooms at the Disney resort. I text Aphrodite the all good. Then a pack a bag and buy us a car to take us first to get Mackenzie then to take us to the airport.

Aphrodite meets me at my house then we load up the car and make our plan. We drive to Mackenzie's house and park by the curb. I text Mackenzie to come on. It's only 8:30ish and very risky to sneak out.

She texts me that she's coming.

So we wait.

And we wait.

And we wait.

"She got caught," Aphrodite sighed.

"Just give her a second." I stared out the window.

"She totally got caught."

"I'm going in." I get off the car.

She sighs.

The only car in the driveway is Jade's which usually means her parents are gone, so what is the holdup? I walk up to the door and try the doorknob, it opens. I open it and instantly I am greeted with yelling.

"Why do you have to ruin everything for me!" Mackenzie yelled.

"You can't just leave the state!" Jade shouted back.

"Kenzie?" I walk over to the stairs.

"Coming." She called down.

"I'm so telling on you."

"Jade please can't you just be cool for once?"

"No way! If I have to suffer alone here, so do you."

I walked up the stairs and saw Jade blocking Mackenzie's path.

"Dude, seriously?" I looked at Kenzie.

"Not my fault, she's being a bitch."

"Please I am the queen of sneaking out of this house, did you really think I wouldn't notice?"

"Jade come on, just let her come."

"No way. I'm not going to be here to take the fall for her."

"Just go without me, Jade's not going to let me." Kenzie sighed in defeat.

"Jade really?"

She crossed her arms and raised an eyebrow at me. God, I hate her.

"Just go," Kenzie huffed in defeat and dragged her bag back to her room.

"God you are such a bitch." I push Jade.

"Takes one to know one."

"What's the holdup?" Aphrodite came in.

"Jade is being a party pooper."

"Party pooper, really?" Jade eyed me.

"Well, you are!"

"You two might be able to do whatever the hell you want but we can't. Kenzie is so going to get in trouble if anything I'm protecting her." Jade shrugged.

"More like fun blocking her."

"That's not a thing,"

"Is too."

"Is not."

"Is too."

"Is not."

"Is too!"

"Please, before I lose my patience. How about you just come too." Aphrodite said.

"Uh hell no," I said.

"It's the only way."

"No way, I am not going to invite her, she's just, ugh!"

"Well, we can't leave with Kenzie without her."

"For fuck's sake just let her go."

"Nope."

"You are so immature."

"I know you are but what am I?"

I turned to Aphrodite and gave her a look. She just gave me the, what can we do? Look.

"Guys it's okay, just go without me. Send me pictures."

"No way, you are coming. You never get to do anything fun, so you are coming." I declared.

"How?" Aphrodite said.

I sighed and looked at Jade, she raised an eyebrow at me.

"Pack a bag," I said through gritted teeth.

She smirked in triumph and skipped to her room to pack.

"Sorry, she's like my ball and chain," Kenzie said.

"It's fine, we can just ignore her. Come on, I'll help you load up your bag."

I dragged her bag downstairs and loaded it up in the SUV. Then I got on my phone and changed my room reservation to add another bed.

"You are going to put up with her, not me," I said to Aphrodite.

"How bad can it be?"

Mackenzie and I both gave her a look.

"She's a walking nightmare," Kenzie said.

"Worse than a toddler," I added.

"Way worse, she never shuts up."

"Ever."

"And just when you think you can't take anymore, there is always more." Kenzie shuddered.

Aphrodite gave us incredulous looks before looking back at the house with a look of horror. Jade came running out with her bag a cocky smile on her face. God, I hate her. I hope she gets sick and doesn't get to come with us. I hope she gets bit by an alligator; I hope she gets her period.

"Ready." Jade sang.

I groaned and opened the trunk again.

Just then across the street, Skylar's house opened and Skylar came out for her usual late-night run. She eyed us in confusion. I felt my heart skip a beat. I dropped Jade's bag and ran over to her.

"Hey!" Jade complained.

"What's going on?" Skylar indicated to the suspicious-looking black SUV.

"Oh uh, we are sneaking off, want to tag along?"

"Um, I don't know, maybe next time." she backs away and does some stretches getting ready to start her run.

"Wait, I mean it's not our usual sneaking off. We are going to Florida, for a week. Want to come?"

"What!"

"Shh!" I cover her mouth.

"Darleen, are you trying to get Jade killed!? Her aunt will murder her."

"Trust I didn't want her to come, she made us, anyway, you can come too. Come on when's the last time you went to Disney world? I'll pay for everything."

"I've never been to Disney world."

"All the more reason to come."

"This isn't giving me space."

"You can't resist the happiest place on earth, let's forget about everything for once and just have fun, as friends."

"Darleen let's go!" Aphrodite called.

"I don't know, I don't want things to be awkward."

"Can't get any more awkward then Jade and I sharing a room together."

"I think it can." She made a face.

"Please, for me. Come on. It will be fun, promise." I grabbed her hands.

"My mom will have a heart attack."

"Come on live a little, remember when we went to my beach house with everyone?"

"This isn't like that, I just broke up with Jade and you are still not over me. This will be awkward city."

"You're coming."

"Darleen." She groaned.

"Come on."

"Darleen!" Aphrodite called.

"You better go." Skylar backed up.

"Skylar, please. Come on. It won't be that fun without you."

"Somehow I highly doubt that."

"Please, do this for me and I'll do anything for you. I'll be in your debt."

She sighed and looked to the SUV I followed her line of sight to Jade who was looking at her with a look of longing.

"I... can't." she looked down.

I sighed and was about to give up when Jade jogged over to us. Her and Skylar shared pain-filled looks.

"You coming?" Jade asked her.

Skylar shook her head no.

"Please, I'd want you there."

"Really? Even after earlier?"

"You're still my best friend, nothing will change that. Break up or no break up. I told you before we even started dating that we'd be friends forever."

"Thank Jade," Skylar forced a smile.

Jade hugged her and Skylar hugged her back tightly. I had to look away as my insides felt heavy just watching it.

"Now come on, it's not every day we get to break the law and run away to Disney world." Jade pulled back.

Skylar looked at me and I forced a smile,

"What she said," I said.

She smiled at me and I felt my heart skip several beats.

"Okay, give me a second. My mom is taking a nap so it should be easy for me to sneak out."

"Hurry up, come on." Jade squealed in excitement.

Skylar giggled and ran back inside.

I looked at Jade who looked at me. We eyed each other before Jade outstretched her hand.

"Truce, for now. I just want her to have fun with no drama. Deal?"

"Deal." I grabbed her hand and firmly shook it.

We both took a deep calming breath before letting each other's hand go. Another good 10 minutes later and Skylar loaded up her bag.

"I left my mom a note, do you think that's enough?" Skylar asked.

"I left my mom a note too," Kenzie said.

"We are so dead," Jade said.

"Then you better enjoy your last moments in life," I smirked as we took off towards the airport.

"Alright ladies we are about to set off and there are only three rules. Rule number one, no fighting. Rule number two, no going off alone. And Rule number three, have fun." Aphrodite said.

The car gave a collected whoop, ready to start this crazy stupid adventure.
