In the Michalian Century....There lived a man who revolutionized the continent of Odgard by uniting 2 great races together during a time of division and war. Feared by his enemies as an "Indomitable." A man who has gained respect and love from both Humanity and Dragonkind, and even become known outside of Odgard...Just How did he do it?
The man rises out of bed, quickly getting dressed to prepare and head out. Despite being The Most Feared Man on the planet, He still desired one thing- a biscuit, for he was hungry. His stomach, rumbling like thunder in the sky, hasn't stopped in over 30 minutes.
And so, he exits the house, taking some fresh air, and went to gather food for the evening.
"Crap. Not again."
He glanced at the bright sun for a brief moment...He recalls a memory. As he recalls, His bright sky blue eyes shine and react in a peculiar way, and he divulges:
"Ah...Again. This feeling again. I thought...No...I still haven't..."
He begins to walk and then starts running in a straight direction towards somewhere, as his hood falls over his head, and his silky, long crimson hair flows out. As he ran, a hawk screeched from the sky, soaring high and robust. Panting over and over again, he finally arrives at a cliffside, as the clouds spread over the sun. He kept recalling the same memories over and over again.
"Ah...Are you calling out to me again? I...still need more time."
The next second he blinked, he remembered the war in an instant. That dreadful, 5-year war.
He was looking at the soldiers, covered in heavy armor with some stains of blood, and small cracks. They appeared to be riding in their armored stead, moving alongside other troops, marching towards a massive fortified city...Then as they approached, Soldiers were approaching from the walls of the city.
The man remembered this day. The reason he recalled this memory was because...He still has deep regrets about that man. The one he couldn't save. The one that was so close to him, yet so far, far away.
"At last...The War ends here." Before the Prince stood a beautiful woman, with high hopes in her eyes. She was...someone extremely important to the man, his lover who had saved him from the deepest pit of hopelessness.
"Yes...The time has finally come. I won't let that bastard get away with this. I'm moving on ahead."
“Push forward!!! Don’t falter, Men!” one Commander yelled.
As Troops were charging in, Another Allied Commander unleashed powerful Fire Magic against the Enemy Troops.
“Fire Elema: Naga’s Star!”
The man unleashed massive boulders, engulfed in flames from the sky to wipe out the enemy in one fell swoop.
“KABOOM!”
The Enemy was annihilated….But Then Reinforcements marched from Inside the fortified City…. And within minutes, Their Army was restored as if the Allied Forces made no real damage. Without much effort, the enemy managed to push the army back. It was a huge struggle, for the fighting has been going on for many days already. But then, A big impact landed atop the enemy, annihilating them for good.
"Your Majesty!"
"Keep these guys busy! These are not your ordinary enemies!! Fight back as hard as you can! I was able to obtain the Shield. Now that We have everything in place, We can put an end to the war!"
He then dashed into the fortified city, cutting every soldier in his path mercilessly, looking everywhere for the Castle...where That Man was. But He realized it was futile so He searched for the highest Mana output and found him immediately. Inside the throne room...He approached.
"What the hell is the meaning of this....?! Answer me!"
Before Aeneas stood a tall and menacing man. He said nothing for a good second until he replied back:
"Prince...or rather, King Aeneas Ludo Arcadia. So you have arrived at last here. Are you aware of who I am?"
The Prince known as Aeneas Ludo Arcadia, gritted his teeth, in anger, frustration...and pain.
"Are you joking? You're playing games now? WE MADE A PROMISE! And now, You're telling me, You changed your mind?! I know...I know that You were beyond unforgivable. But...I promised that you wouldn't be behind a cell for eternity. I was about to give your the ultimate freedom: The right to live, as just a human being!"
The Man...slowly chuckled, until it turned into a blood-curdling laugh, echoing loud throughout the whole castle. Aeneas suddenly felt very uneasy, as he no longer understood who he was anymore. That is until he finally spoke, giving the Prince a cold chill behind his back:
"I asked for help. I saw you for who you really are. I believed in you. And yet...Your choice killed my one and only hope. And now...You destroyed your only hope of seeing your dream come to fruition."
He then slowly turned over to face Aeneas, until he finally understood why he felt uneasy.
Oh my god. H-How could I have possibly forgot about you? I didn't...I...
"I am Despair. The one who slithers in the dark...I am the Monody known as..."
Aeneas then gasps...and recognizes the change in voice.
However, before he could think about who he was, Aeneas then blinked, and his memory goes blank.
"Ah. This memory. I remember. I had this same exact one years ago...so did my father. If I remember correctly...You send me this memory, didn't you, Old man? So that we are to..."
Aeneas looked at his pedant, as it starts to glow brightly. Suddenly, It starts to shine radiantly...and a voice comes through.
"To be honest...When you told me about the dream, I was perplexed. Because I never told you anything. Only you seemed to have also known about the war! But How?"
Aeneas looked up at the sky and closed his eyes, in deep thought.
"Who could have...Oh, that's right. That man with the glasses, He...told me everything a few days ago before he disappeared for good. I believe his name was-"

A click sound was then heard, at the back of Aeneas's neck. In an instant, That same memory flashed back to Aeneas here. But The moment he blinked his eyes, He...was in a pub.
"Huh?" He looked across him, to see...an old man wielding a glass jar, filled with nothing but Beer.
A commotion was happening around a local pub. A large crowd was cheering this one man, who was having a drinking contest with a local, and nearly every commoner in town gathered around to see said event.
"Hahaha, I won again! God, How did I do that..."
This Man was Aeneas Ludo Arcadia. The Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Calydon. Having a large History spanning over 5000 years, rising, falling, and rising...It is one of the great powers of the Continent of Odgard.
"WHAT?? Grr...You got me good, my lad! Hahaha!"
As soon as Aeneas stood up in his victory pose, basking in glory...He suddenly felt befuddled and his mind went blank. Before his body reached the floor, however, a tall man was able to catch him just on time.
"Alright...Time to go home."
This was Reinhardt Achates Dominic, His Righthand Man...and a longtime friend, whose loyalty towards his friend is indestructible. He then placed Aeneas on his back and walked outside.
The Capital City, Arcadialesm. The Town where it's history all started next to a river. Protected by large and sturdy walls, the city has never fallen siege once in it's history. Continuing to walk straight to the center is where one would encounter the National Prism, where Calydon's Politicians and Nobles gather. Then there is Ashura's Mausoleum, where her body is laid to rest for eternity. And Lastly, Castle Argo: Residence of King Anchises and Prince Aeneas.
Suddenly, The 2 friends encounter cold droplets of water. Without anything to cover him and his friend with, they both shivered each time Reinhardt's boots splashed on the ground.
"Seriously, Aeneas...You have really done it now. What's with you lately? It's only been a month since we came back and-"
Aeneas softly mumbled, to which Reinhardt struggled to make out of what he said until Aeneas softly said:
"I...I'm sorry I couldn't do anything for you in the end...I...I don't..."
"Huh? Regret...? What's he sorry for?"
Reinhardt then overhears a soft snore behind him. He then felt a wet sensation on his back to which he first felt disgusted, thinking his friend probably let out what he drank earlier and quickly looks back to scorn the prince, until he notices...
A stream coming from Aeneas's eyes. Was it the rain? No...
These were tears. Tears of sadness? No...These were tears of...regret.
"Coming back must have gave him a reminder of that day when he lost his mother. Aeneas..."
Then, The cold droplets of water came down running faster and stronger over Arcadia City without warning. Reinhardt continued to run as fast as he could until they reached Castle Argo.
"Let's...get you in a shower and go rest for tonight."
"Just don't forget what you really came here for."
After that warm shower and getting dressed, he went to see Reinhardt before he left for his room.
"Hey, Reinhardt?"
"Yes, Aeneas? Is something on your mind? It's unlike you to see me out...no offense."
Aeneas chuckled and begin to explain to him a strange vision he had witnessed...all in one second, during the match earlier. It was something that he...couldn't bring it to words exactly.
"It's as If I was on this wild battlefield for one second....just one second...and then I arrived back at the pub. I can't...How can I make this up, really?"
Reinhardt looked at him in disappointment. In his mind, He thought that the Prince merely was drunk as usual and really wanted out of the conversation. That said...It was strange for his friend to suddenly seek his help... So he decided to believe in his friend.
"A 1-second dream...A battlefield?"
Aeneas was not sure if he should really tell him about the dream he encountered. The War. The Emperor...Those Monsters on the battlefield...and that mysterious woman.
What the man did not recall...was the last thing he said to the mysterious Old man. He couldn't recall...nor identify who send him this memory. If It wasn't this mysterious old man, then who? His Father?
But In truth, the only thing Aeneas had in mind...was his bed.
"I...I think I'll...bring it up some other time, and ask Father as well. I'm exhausted. Sorry...to bother you."
As Aeneas slowly walked away to his room, Reinhardt...now was more curious about this dream. He then went to his room and went to sleep.
"A battlefield...A war? All in One second? And It's so specific too...Maybe He had too much to drink..."

"HE'S SICK?! WHAT?!" The Prince was flabbergasted...and annoyed at the fact that he could not directly ask his father about the moment he experienced.
"Stop your shouting!! Everyone's going to hear...
Currently, King Anchises is recovering from an illness he caught a few days ago and cannot lead for more than a month...Of course, this threw the government into trouble. Since the Head of State and Government was absent, No one was at the cabinet to give the usual orders."
"Damn it, so I can't even tell him about that vision or whatever I had..."
That vision, Reinhardt thought. Well in truth, It couldn't have possibly been more important than what he was about to announce...for he was trying his best in forgetting about it. And so, Reinhardt then attempts to smile and then makes eye contact with Aeneas.
“SO...Since No one is really leading the country...That’s where you come in!”
Aeneas was just gazing blankly at him until he realized what Reinhardt was trying to tell him.
“Wait….What?! Me??” His voice quivered in confusion.
“That’s correct! For the rest of this month until Early Nagi, Starting Today, You will be our de facto leader of our country until your father recovers. In other words...You will be "Prince Regent" all month.” Reinhardt turns the page of his booklet, but then he looks directly at Aeneas.
“As a result, I will be reporting to King Anchises every day about your decisions and actions. We all have very high expectations of you during this week. Should you perform well, We are even thinking about making you Prince Regent permanently until you succeed your father in the near future.”
As Reinhardt was about to move on, he is then interrupted by a loud snore, for it turns out, Aeneas is snoozing on the table.
“HEY, WERE YOU EVEN LISTENING TO A WORD I SAID?!”
“S-Sorry….I’m still knocked out from last night….All that beer did mess me up a bit! Plus," Aeneas then paused for a moment to look at Reinhardt, "Was coming back here...really worth it?"
Reinhardt sighed and kept his cool, and then looked at Aeneas with a serious expression.
“Don't give me that."
"Huh?"
Reinhardt then slammed his hand on the table as hard as he could, “In my reports…. Well, You should be aware of how much of a Threat the Empire of Thabes currently poses! Did you forget already?!”
Thabes. The Emperor.....Emperor Job. Of course. So that place was Thabes, Aeneas thought to himself.
Reinhardt then started reading one of his reports.
“Last month, There were traces of Thabein Ships down southeast, leaving our seas! You know they aren't allowed to trade with us, yet they leave our ports. Ever since King Anchises opened up trade with the western continent of Vallia decades ago, They've been taking advantage of that. They're growing in every way possible...in fact...
Reinhardt gulped and looked at Aeneas with fear.
“I wouldn't be surprised if they want to conquer Odgard out of revenge. In the past, Calydon colonized them...they probably want to return the favor somehow!! They will desire to have total control of everything, food, the markets, everything. Who knows what could happen?! And you know what happened 20 years ago according to your father. We learned that they even started using Dragons as Slaves, Test Experiments...and even as Weapons, to show off their power. And it turned out to be true!!! WE SAW IT HAPPEN NOT EVEN A YEAR AGO!!"
Aeneas remembered. All he felt was a chill down his spine, as he remembered how he slain each and every one of them at Puebla Chica last year.
"My point is...Are you really going to let this go? We came back because you said YOU wanted to save...the dragons. And now that we're here and faced against your father, you're having second thoughts?!! Don't give me that bullshit! I was there fighting them with you!!”
Reinhardt then dropped to the floor, holding back his tears. "I understand that...that you miss her. Me as well, she was in the wrong place, but...she had good intentions. But...Are you really gonna let go of everything you told me all these years, what we experienced, what we suffered, what WE saw...all down the drain? Are you just gonna forgot what we had to do to those dragons with families?!"
Aeneas was in deep thought about everything Reinhardt mentioned to him….and remembered the battle, nearly 2 years ago.
"Stop..."
